I was watching the Rockets game today(Orlando) and got to thinking about how young our team still is. Just think about it folks, the Eddie Griffin you saw in the first quarter of this game could be day-in-day-out Eddie Griffin in a couple of years.

    Bostjan Nachbar could be...well....playing.

Cuttino Mobley may have finally matured enough not to take no-look-turnaround-fadeaways in the paint.

Of course there's Yao Ming who could be the next coming for all we know.

And perhaps, and this last one's a biggie, the Rockets could finally stop paying money to that satan of all satans, Matt Maloney.

As I got to thinking about this, I also got to thinking (I was thinking a lot today, getting it out of the way for the rest of the year you know), what if we can't re-sign all these players? Say in a couple years Eddie Griffin decides to go to better money, he has the talent to be able to ask for it. What if Yao Ming (OH HORRORS YOU SAY) find his way into Orlando or New York (by god they love him there), or what if Kelvin Cato leaves? Okay so that last one would be a plus.

But the point of this post (and I assure you I had one when I started this all), was that from where we are now, the Rockets could go in two directions. And these are pretty much our futures.

1 - A team getting oh so close that we can all taste it.
2- A Dynasty (Barring a miraculous game-winning three by John "Who Wears Short Shorts" Stockton).
