No way Washington lets Ariza or Gortat walk to the Heat. If the Heat break up, Washington would be in a great position to move into the top spot in the eastern conference. Pau is their best shot, but I get the sense someone will pay him enough to keep him from them.
That's a weird tweet from Woj. A window? Signings begin the 10th, do they expect Riley to get everything done before then?
Right (5th) but if LeBron and co. wait that long to bail (hypothetical, they won't), what if, for examply, Melo decides to join the Rockets. Do we just blow him off if LeBron decides after? lol
Tough call, but I'd be surprised if LeBron and Melo aren't in contact as to what each other is up to. I'm guessing in that situation, you have to settle for the sure thing. Reminds me of the Texans waiting on Nnamdi Asomugha a few years ago. Jonathan Joseph was ready to commit, so we signed him.
Not quite LeBron but close enough!

Teams interested in LeBron James will meet w agent Rich Paul this week in Cleveland, according to NBA source. Sam Amico @SamAmicoFSO Follow Meanwhile, LeBron agent Rich Paul expecting numerous inquiries come midnight. Source reiterates LeBron's camp will be "all ears." 10:21 PM - 30 Jun 2014
LeBron seems to be both waiting on Riley to show him what he's got up his sleeve, and letting Paul filter out the unrealistic options for him. If Riley takes too long or isn't doing an adequate job of retooling, Paul creates a short list of suitors from the original list of teams interested. James then will sit down with these finalists.
Even though I know we have pretty much no shot at LeBron, I'm getting hype lol. It beings tomorrow...
And Woj with the buzz kill. https://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/so...t-riley-time-to-improve-roster-023118965.html
They'll have to be taking some major pay cuts to go after the guys on that list. Wonder if grabbing 1 of them is good enough for LeBron. This kinda sucks because you just know that Melo is waiting on Bron, so we might be waiting a little while here.
Yes. I'm trying to be as non-homer as possible, but I can't imagine how Howard Jones Parsons Harden Beverley isn't a significant upgrade to Bosh Haslem Deng Wade Napier Yes, conferences matter, but LeBron is in it to win rings, not finals appearances.
Marvin Williams? They could just use the MLE on him. The Heat need multiple players....not just one. They need a playmaker, a wing, and a center. Good luck.
Not so sure about that. Big fish historically wait on THE big fish when it comes to free agency. Particularly if they play the same position/have the same suitors.
Carmelo has waited a long time to be courted. No way he is going to wait to see what LeBron is doing, plus he probably already knows what's going to happen. Houston would also be dumb to wait. Meet with Melo, give him the best pitch and best offer. If he agrees to sign with Houston, they aren't going to wait around to see what LeBron is going to do.
