Who do you go to for your lunchtime fix? I like Dan Patrick. Just a smart sports fan. Rome's schtick has grown tired and old on me. Hell there is even a mockery of him on a local commercial for Hoops basketball goals - its pretty funny.
Patrick gets much better guests on the whole and is a better interviewer. You also don't have to put up with his "clones".
I like sports talk and they both suck. Dan Patrick just happens to be a little bit more annoying and that is saying a whole lot. I used to like Rome but he just likes to hear himself make noise........................... **shuffles papers** except for the unnecessary pauses.
Patrick annoys the hell out of me. While Rome can be predictable and talk way too much about west coast teams, I think he's funny the majority of the time.
and the commercial breaks every 8 minutes gets really annoying. He never really gets to phone calls, and when he does, he never "runs" people like he used to. And the inside jokes about J-Stew and whoever else can get a little annoying.
I used to hate both but I'll listen to Dan Patrick occasionally because of Keith Olbermann. Man I wish they'd put him back on sportscenter even if he's a pain to work with.
omg, u could be no further from the truth. Rome is absolute dogcrap. His leading the witness type interviews suck and the calls suck. Give it 2 weeks is his motto, i've been giving it 2 years when espn radio isn't on. Cowherd is annoying as crap though, although i like hearing Ditka and Beano Cook. Once again I reiterate, Rome is CRAP. and he's not "phenomenal or tremendous".
I hate opinionated hosts like Rome and Stephen A. cause they wuss out in person. Stephen A. can't even speak english. I regress.
Entertainment - Rome and his Clones Informative - Dan Patrick [Esp since he has gotten rid of Dipple] Rocket River
I like Dan Patrick's show. I can't stand Jim Rome's show. Patrick has better guests, and Rome still sounds like he is trying to appeal to his buddies in the frat, than do a serious sports show. Patrick's stuff on the Chicago White Sox having the journey song for their theme song in the world series was classic.
