This may be a stupid question or not necessary, but what will happen will McGrady after the trade deadline if he is not traded? Is there a chance he plays to possibly rise his stock or does he just continue to work out privately? If necessary lock...
No way he plays for the rockets, they might try to work on some kind of buy out if doesnt demand all his money, but dont expect to see that dip **** on the rockets bench ever again Somehow Morey will get Bosh if not by trade deadline then in the summer.
Considering Clutch said Adelman wants no part of T-mac...NO. We've seen what happened to wafer after his incident with him, it's Adelman way or the highway.
McGrady will never play another minute of NBA basketball in a Rockets uniform. So, something other than that...
He definitely won't play again for the Rockets but I say he might get bought out. I've said all along he probably wouldn't be traded.
No, he won't play. But I really hope he gets traded so most of the users on here will shut the **** up about how much they hate him.......we get it.
it's a business...tmac plays and plays well and he gets a bigger contract, which the rockets could possibly use in a sign and trade to get who they really want. Not likely, but don't be surprised if it happens.
If he isnt traded its likely he is bought out so we can slide under the luxury tax and he can go audition on another roster.
I'm pretty sure morey or adelman won't even allow the possibility of Tmac playing for a contender this year; Isn't there a certain date in which a team cannot sign a free agent for the playoff roster or something? I'm thinking that date is when T-Mac will be bought out or something.
can't we at least trade McGrady for other expiring contracts and a pick like to the knicks so that we could at least get something out of it instead of buying him out? ...
The problem is what sane team would give up anything worthwhile for McGrady? Seriously, he isn't worth a dime as a tradeable asset. The Rockets would get back what McGrady is worth, which is close to zero. The most dramatic option would be to trade him for a very good player plus a sorry player with a horrible contract (such as Iguodola + Dalembert). But even the Sixers realize giving up Iggy for nothing would be totally stupid even if it meant they could dump Dalembert's contract on the Rockets.
This is year is for development. Even if Stacy can help us, It makes no logical sense to play him in the new direction that we are moving...
You haven't been around much, then. Plenty of worse things being said in this forum here. And yeah, it's OVER between TMAC and the ROCKETS. Get over it.
I know T-Mac is never gonna play with us again!! I just would have worded that MUCH different!! Plus Bosh is a long shot, as much as I want him I dont see how we can do it!
if his value was close to zero we wouldnt be getting many, if any, offers with tmac as the focal point of the trade....and Dalembert is far from "sorry".
Do you guys think he would make an effective water boy? I'm not so sure. My concern would be that he'd settle for 20-foot tosses of water bottles instead of taking them all the way to the players. That, or he'd muff simple handoffs with water bottles getting rejected by waiting hands.
Or heat-check tosses of water bottles. Where he tosses them from 30 feet away, when no one was thirsty and there was no good reason to do it.
