After watching the first 3 games I can't help but wonder about the possibilities of Cato being a "top 10" shot blocker and rebounder. Being some what of a "last resort" on the offensive end is a great thing for this team because it's already hard enough to find shots for everybody. Adding to that, when he does have the ball, he puts it in the hole consistantly.

If Cato can keep doing this and eventually average over 2 blocks per game, and lets say 11 boards, what do we do with him? Who is on the ropes concerning trades, contracts etc. Imagine the kind of interest we could get for him if he does continue this!! Do Rudy and CD deserve an apology for that pre-season contract?

Ultimately, Ming will be the future of the Rockets at the 5 spot. And IMO Steve and Cuttino will have toned down from their ways and play more controlled and more intelligent. This making Ming more involved on the offensive end. However I highly doubt Ming and Cato can co-exist. Do we keep both of them anyway to prevent anyone else getting a good quality 5 man or do we move them for a good player(s) and a 5 man more suited for a backup role?

Just thinking out loud, anyone helpme with my ideas?

Sorry for the mistake in the thread title. Clutch, can you fix it please? :(

Cato is the best player to play the 5 with Ming, except he makes too much.

What you guys shouldn't expect is Cato to average 14 rebounds and 3 blocks throughout the season. 9 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 blocks would be incredible.

Perhaps the good reports about Cato's offseason weren't wrong after all.

The guy is really playing hard this year, and in the first game, he was one of the only guys playing hard.

I hope Cato does keep it up.
