it would be preferable, but not 100% necessary.

The plan is moving around august-october, possibly later, but not likely.

While mooching off the family is nice, I think it's time that I head on my own...sort of anyway.

Any suggestions? There's only really one place I've found that's affordable, and close to a lot of things (Galleria area, Toyota Center, Minute Maid Park, UH)

It doesn't have to be close to those places...not like down the street anyway, but within the "not waking up and looking at traffic and deciding to stay home and not go to my 10am class at UH" area. :p

I really shouldn't do random threads at 2am. They don't have the flair of FFB's.

Anyway. Any ideas? Prices? Prehistoric cockroaches? Soundproof wall...heh.

Security? Utilities? Forced to use Cablevision/Phonoscope?

I shall now end this thread with the following...

No Preston, you cannot be my roommate.

My girlfriend is staying at some off of Buffalo for physical therapy school. EVERYTHING around there is way over priced, obviously. Her brother used to stay at the same ones on Buffalo when he went to U of H. It is a pretty nice place.
She was looking at Holly Hall right to the East of Reliant. It was the cheapest thing around she could find but the washer and dryers are about as big as a microwave, literally. Maybe three towels would fill it up.

    Good luck.

Protip: Always tour apt complexes M-F between 8 and 5. If you see alot of folks hanging out during work hours, look elsewhere - Unemployed people need to get their paper somehow...

Nob Hill, Chimney Rock & South Braeswood.

Old apts, they've been there a while, but they are pretty safe and the tenants seem OK. I think alot of newly divorced men and women move in there.

This is golden sh*t right here, man. Thanks for that advice.

ALSO, drive outside the apartment complex at midnight... you will see if they really enforce their rules...

So, in summary, if you see people hanging out in the complex at any time during the morning, afternoon, evening, or night, look elsewhere.

Pretty much. People need to stay in their apartment. ;)

Mig, I know of a condo on Westheimer that is up for lease. Now, it is ON WESTEHIMER, so noise and traffic might be an issue at times.

There is another complex near Chacho's off Westheimer. Again, all privately owned units.
