Just looking at our schedule and the other top AFC teams' schedule, I think there's a very good chance the Texans will end up #1 in the AFC. Didn't think I'd ever hear those words. Right now we're a half game ahead of NE and tied with Pitt. I'm not sure, but if we tie records with Pitt, we'll be seated ahead of them since we won our one matchup with them this year? Is that right? I think us, NE, and Pitt will only lose, at most, 2 more games this season. I think us and Pitt will lose 1, NE 2 losses. Thoughts?
Barring injury I think the Texans will end up at best 12-4 or 11-5. They should be favored in the rest of the games this year, but I imagine they'll slip up somewhere.
I'd say, since we own the tiebreaker over the Steelers, it's a toss-up between the Texans and the Patriots. Both have relatively easy schedules.
so crazy, Texans #1 defense, Texans #1 team in the AFC record-wise (at least at the moment) . . . Did anyone think this was even close to happening in August?
i'll be the first to say i never thought we would be this good. I thought 6-4 at this point but not this dominant on both sides of the ball
Here's my perdicition. We get a bye for the first round, and play either NE, Bal, or Jets at home. Gonna be tough, but all those teams are beatable for sure. Baltimore just lost to Seattle.
I'm pretty sure that they'll be better than my 9-7 prediction from the beginning of the season, which I repeated three weeks ago.
Root against the Steelers, Ravens and, patriots, that's our competition. We'll have the tiebreaker with Pittsburgh, have lost it with Baltimore, and will probably lose it against NE based on SOS. We certainly have a good shot, but i think NE will probably end up 12-4 and take it over us in a tiebreaker. But we beat the steelers in a tiebreaker and get a bye. Although as a Texan fan, i'm sill just worried about making the playoffs first.
if we end up 9-7, i will lose my ****. we are looking good but i am scared of kubiak's decision making and shaub's inability to make things happen when pressured. we have a killer or three on defense but who is the killer on offense? who is the locker room leader for the offense? we need that guy.
oh, they are killers as far as talent and productivity, i was talking more emotionally. guts, heart, etc.
perhaps, yet maybe the crux of my fear about our leadership is that schaub has about as much personality as mitt romney
If only he had the leadershippiness of Timothy Tebow or Vincent Young. Then we'd be Super Bowl contenders for sure.
