How do you get these crap programs to quit installing on my computer. I am running Norton Internet virus scanner (or something like that). I got like 5 different versions of adware programs on there & get popups on every site i go to, even though the virus scanner says it is blocking popups. How do you totally get rid of these things & keep them from coming back.

    Any help would be appreciated.

dont be deleting stuff from your registry if you dont know what you are doing, easy way to F up your computer, Run spybot S&D, and Adware from LAvasoft. Then install the browser components i listed, and you should be fine for a while. and if you have the windows SP2, popups make it alive even less.

You might try restarting your computer in SAFE MODE and then run your antivirus/spyware programs (Norton Antivirus and/or Spybot and Lavasoft Ad-aware).

Thanks guys that appears to have done the trick. No pop ups happening now. Hope it stays that way.
