And it feels like I had a throat transplant with sand paper. I have no fever, headache, or fatigue, so I'm currently writing off the flu. What should I do to get rid off this thing other than cook up some lozenges for dinner?
Vitamin C pills always make my sore throat go away pronto. Boil up some Wild Turkey, add some honey, and enjoy the Rockets game. Too bad Drexler doesn't travel you could play all kinds of drinking games to that commentary.
strep throat is going around, I had it 2 weeks ago. A roomate of mine has it now. (most likely from me....cup or something maybe)
2 roommates and a cup? warm water and salt should do the trick until your body can fight off the infection.
wow, you both had the cup in your minds at the same time?! ...not sure whether to say kudos.....or gross.
I have a cure that is guaranteed to work. Take one tablespoon (maybe 2 but NO more than that) of pure organic virgin Coconut Oil. You can get a jar of it for around 10.00 at any health food store. It will be solid.....you wont be able to taste anything. Just let the glob dissolve in your mouth slowly.....your sore throat will go away, I guarantee it. You can trust me on this one. Dont worry about cholesterol or eating oil.....coconut oil is actually healthy for you.
if you don't have any other symptoms, no congestion, fever, etc. then you likely have pharyngitis, essentially an infected throat. as long as you don't have strep throat, you will be fine. for pain you can use lozenges, spray (cepacol), gargle salt water. if you go to the doctor, they will probably prescribe you zythromyacin, aka z-pack. this will clear up any pain fast than you would think.
I have the exact same **** so I'm calling in and going to the doctor. Just waiting until they open at 8.
Tons of fluids, vitamin C,and gargling salt water. Make yourself eat even if you don't have your usual appetite. ....and when I'm in Tahoe I always have some Augmentin (antibiotics) that I take also...just to make sure. With the weather we're having in Houston at the moment,I'd go that route in addition to the other stuff to head it off.
I have more than just a sore throat. My sinuses are clogged up to where I can't hear out of my right ear, I'm coughing up thick brown crap, and I get exhausted when I get up and walk around. When I'm sitting around doing nothing, I don't feel too bad but any kind of activity wears me out. My son has the same stuff and he was diagnosed with an acute sinus infection and needed antibiotics. I'd rather go in today and be safe than sorry all weekend.
