I'm taking my gf to go see John Legend at the Rodeo this year. I've been staying in Houston all my life but I haven't been to the Rodeo since I was like 10 (I'm now 21). I just wanted to get some general advice about the rodeo... if y'all could help me answer the following questions, it would be greatly appreciated: • My tickets to the concert - do they give me access to go to the actual Rodeo too? Or is it only the concert? • How many hours should I spend at the event on top of the concert? • Any tips for parking? I'm assuming most of it is standard paid parking. • Are there are specific attractions that are a must-see? I can't wait to see the concert... I hear John Legend is a great live performer.
Get there early so there will be free parking left. There will be many things to do before the actual rodeo starts, so arriving a little early won't hurt. No sure about the ticket thing though.
10 bucks at the yellow lot if you get there early if not it's park and ride or metro rail. The ticket is good for both, get there early and walk around the reliant center and after the show either hit up the hideout (inside the dome) or the carnival outside
I'm going to be taking my New Yorker girlfriend to the rodeo this year (she insisted). I've never been. I'm most interested in the cookoff-- do you have to buy a ticket specifically for the cookoff? Does that ticket get you into the carnival, rodeo, etc? Or do I have to buy tickets for each. Basically, if someone could tell me all about the cookoff, I'd appreciate it!
