Hey there, I wonder if any one you can advise me. For my blog, I frequently link to old articles of NBA news for my pieces. I don't really know any other way to do it than google, but it can be really inefficient and sometimes just plain useless. For instance, I was trying to find a detailed history of Baron Davis' injuries, for an article I was writing, and couldn't find one. Most of the articles are recent, past two or three years and at best give me "a long history of injuries" or something. Or another example, for the little thing I'm going to write on James Posey, I kept adding terms to my search in google and got nothing. Finally I put in: "james posey" houston rockets traded -celtics -boston -miami -memphis -82games.com -basketball-reference and got one little paragraph on the trade to the Rockets http://www.usatoday.com/sports/basketball/columnist/2002-12-19-dream-hoops_x.htm Any advice would be most welcome. Thanks, Michael
If your searching articles in the google news thing, make sure your selecting the right year range on the left. Just thought I would mention it, since it took me awhile to actually realize that google normally limits all news searches to 2007-08 unless you tell it not to. Other than google, for official articles, your best bet is probably an actually article database such as EBSCO or SBRnet which you can normally access through a university library (if your a student), or though your public library's website for free.
