Just wondering if anyone knows anything about arch pain, or if you've ever experienced it. My left foot has been bothering me yesterday and today. It feels fine sitting in class on on my computer, but if I walk continuously for more than a couple minutes, my arch flares up on the inside part of my foot, and I have to limp to keep weight off it. I looked up arch pain on search engines and found that most link it to plantar faciitis. I had plantar faciitis a few years ago, but that was when I was in basketball practice every morning and training for track. I don't run very often anymore. When I had it it was brutal. I couldn't walk whatsoever, it was a searing pain. This seems to be in the same place, but not nearly as painful. Plus it dissipates when I sit or lay down for a bit. I'm hoping I don't have it again, but how could I when I don't run very much anymore? Anyone with experience know what I could do to help? I've been trying to stretch the muscle in my foot all day.
Plantar faciitis? Pfffft... That's not even real. Spoiler Just kidding. I get it often...feels like the tendon on the bottom of your foot wants to tear in half.
If you're a student, aren't there school clinics with cheap co-pays? I think arch problems come from undersized or uncomfortable shoes. I'm no docotr.
I do wear flip flops sometimes. Maybe that's the culprit. All my sneakers have very good arch support, and I even use insoles. I'm going to put the flip flops in the closet for awhile and see if it helps. Thanks guys.
Go see a good chiropractor. If your arch is hurting than your back is going to start hurting real soon.
shoe inserts run about 400 bux. they kinda help. have you put on any xtra weight lately? sometimes that can cause it to flare up. Colds snaps also seem to cause it to hurt more. Not sure if i'd suggest cortizon shots on the bottom of your foot...I had that done a few times.
