The old lady and I are having a trainer come see our dogs tomorrow. Have any of you had experience with an at home trainer? The people I contacted were from some company called "superdog" and here where I live the lady associated with them calls it "A better dog" training where we will have 4 lessons, beginning with a 3 hour lesson tomorrow.

Are there any tips or suggestions that you guys can give to enhance the quality of the training? Should I have just sent the devil dogs to a boarding school? These are my first dogs and although they listen occasionally there are still many quirks we need to work out. This person seems like a Cesar Milan, Pack Leader type of teacher, so hopefully this philosophy can create a better environment with our dogs.

    You don't need a trainer.

Just beat your dog like Heypartner does.

We had a dog trainer over to our house for several sessions with our lab and terrier. He was also dog-wheeesperer like and things worked out well. I have to say that at least half of the training was directed at us humans. Dogs will feed off of your energy and recognize your tendencies. Becoming a "pack leader" will make all the difference in the world. Understanding who you are or need to become in the relationship with your dog will forever make you a better dog owner. Don't leave it all up to the pooch or you'll become a frustrated dog oppressor and miss out on drunk-girl punanny, like heypartner.

As Caesar Milan always says, you have to establish yourself as the Alpha. (Noticed I even called my dog "Beta")
