i never thought I could. this is somewhat a rhetorical question. I love Texas but being a Rice grad, I laugh at Texas A&M, like probably we most do. I asked her what she likes to do,,, and after some moments of thinking she said..."I like to sleep in on Saturdays and drink beer while watching football." No Rice girl ever said that. But she said she doesn't like basketball, haha am I doomed to failure guys or what?
I went out with a UT girl once and she asked if I wanted to smoke weed later. ok, I don't know. I need to sleep.
as an aside. Has anyone seen the photo in the Surrealist wing of the Menil of some surrealist photographing a gf or model from behind nude in muslim prayer position with her hands under her girl wonderments with fingers splayed in a flowing manner with her..ummm... right there to behold. those surrealists. amazing! All I have to say is if you take a 1st date to that exhibit, be prepared for that photo. lol
I hope the exhibit is there through Easter, so I can see it. I love great photograhy. As for the girl? Sounds hopeless, HP.

I could date an A&M girl...if I were single and she didn't look like a corps turd or a linebacker. BTW....I'm going to the French Impressionist exhibit at the MFA on Saturday.
Since A&M is a top-5 national school in terms of student population, I'd say that pretty much everyone here could find an Aggie who matches their criteria. Stop being a snob. Rice isn't so special. (and no, I didn't go to A&M.)
I've heard that A&M chicks like dudes with blue hats, pink shirts, and green undershirts who like to get hammered and dance by themselves on the dance floor. If that describes you, then you are SO IN.
I laugh at Rice since like 17 people in all go to that little speck. I mean how can something so small have any legit research facilities (although I rout for the small guy since my D is tiny)? And Rice Village is a joke, its just awesome waiting 7hrs for drinks. But ya plenty of great diverse thinking girls at TAMU. And a decent amount of em dont have something stuck up their ass. People who think the guy to girl ratio is whack there are STUPID. They dont understand how us guys prefer sheep to women there anyways... And didnt Eva Langoria go there? Shes not my fav but yall suckers loooove her (like vspan).

Deckard, I'm pretty sure that photo is part of the collection. Sounds like a job for rimbaud! but he's never around when you need him. So it was all up to me. We started slowly with the Menil. To soon for 2-3hours at the Met show. I like it when people look at modern art and say, "I could have done that." After an hour in the Menil, we went to the Twombly to show her the blackboard. Then to the Rothko to see the black canvases. She said, "Is this for real." haha The art issue I can deal with. I just don't know what I'm going to do about this whole "I like all sports except Basketball" issue. What's up with that?!
I laugh at aggies. I find the grads to be the most obnoxious of all. The level of pride that accompanies this mid level institution will always astound me. For instance, Everyone I know that has graduated from aTm has at minimum one of the following. In many cases, they have multiple of the following criteria: - logo on car - maroon car - maroon clothing regularly in lineup - college ring worn continuously - kids in atm gear - helmet and/or diploma mounted in office While I have to respect the level of devotion the grads have to their school, I am always amazed by it. Hell, even the dropouts I know worship the school as mecca. Is it the wonderful town its in? No, can't be. Is it the high academic standards it takes to get in? No, can't be. Is it the awesome color scheme they use? No, can't be. My conclusion is that the agricultural department has spiked the water. (oh and btw, I was accepted to aTm but didn't want to go. Only applied for giggles)
Wow you need to get out more..I must be the only exception to the rule, I have never done any of your list and I didn't even order a ring.. UT grads aren't as bad uh? I can agree with you in the fact that people who go overboard with school spirit can seem a bit odd, but I can understand it from being a Rockets fan during the championship years..
In order to be a Surrealist you had to be a raging misogynist. I believe it was in Breton's Le Manifest du Surréalisme, third paragraph, where he said, "women suck and should only be shown with severed heads or genitals on their face, or any other monstrous way....because they suck."
This thread deviated into a lets bash all things A&M. Though I take great pleasure in publicly humiliating my alma mattas' rival, the crux off heypartners issue is the girls lack of basketball love. So let's focus folks. Foreign girls and cross continental love aside, I Can't say that I've ever dated a girl who didn't appreciate the nuances of the pick and roll. I did however shack up with a Spurs fan for about 3 years. Only after the break up did she adopt the Rockets as her own. So there is hope. Personally though I would never settle down with anyone who couldn't tell the difference btw a Jackson Pollack and my nieces' crayola doodles.
Agreed just because I hate Stanfurd doesn't mean I wouldn't date one of their students or grads. They better be quiet during the Big Game though..
