...... Houston coach Rick Adelman said he hasn’t decided who will replace Ariza in the lineup, but he doesn’t consider Tracy McGrady an option. McGrady has yet to play this season as he works his way back from offseason microfracture surgery on his left knee. “That’s something I haven’t thought about,” Adelman said. “Tracy’s situation is what it’s been.” Link on Yahoo! Sports ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- It means, that his career as Rocket is almost officially over, IMO. If Rick doesn't even consider him - it tells a lot, even without any words...
No surprise there. The team has a plan for McGrady and they are not changing it no matter how many 17 year olds on the internet insist that they do.
"Shocking". Adelman has been done with Tracy for a long time now. How long is Trevor out??? I like Tracy as a player, so if he's done with Houston(after this season), come to California and play for LA. Don't read into that last line to seriously, I live in CA but love the Rox.
One thing is saying something like this: "well, I'll see his form in pregame practice, his passion, his movement and decide. I think he's not ready, but maybe something will change tomorrow..." - it's some kind of motivating speech. But if you say, that you doesn't even consider him... It shows your relationship with him. It's personal. I think it's not on the way he played last season. It's all about his stupid decision about surgery, when Rick and DM had listened this info from the press, not from him personally. It ruined everything well, I appreciate McGrady for all that he'd done for this club, but I have no hope about seeing him again in Rockets uniform now. But I trust in Rick and Daryl and respect their decision. They are a beautiful duo. They are all we've got. Good Bye, Tracy!
Anyone who thought McGrady would be activated just because Ariza is suspended 1 GAME is pretty clueless in the first place.
adelman has said tracy was NOT going play in this 4 games in 5 nights stretch before this ariza debacle. he'll play after this stretch.
How was it personal in the cases of those two? Francis was unfortunately washed up, and Wafer was a knucklehead. Makes sense he'd have problems with them. And yeah, no surprise at all with this bit of news.
