3 rookies are in the rotation now.

    Scola, Brooks and Landry.

    Carry on.

Exactly what part of what he said was wrong? Adelman's Rockets *are* the 3rd best defensive team in the NBA behind only Boston and Detroit, and better than even the San Antonio Spurs. He has found a way to make all three rookies on the team contribute. You on the other hand, look like you need some serious therapy for those hate issues of yours.

Is it your personal mission to change the opinions of people on the forum? You just started a thread titled "master stroke of genius by adelman and his staff". Obviously you like Adelman and want everyone else to. You've also started threads about "its time to play chuck more" when most people were saying otherwise. You started an anti-Bonzi thread because he "has been given a free pass around here", which is totally untrue.

On the subject, sometimes our D is good, sometimes not. We got smoked in two consecutive 4th quarters before the Spurs game and have had numerous breakdowns during the season that cost us wins. Calling Adelman a "great defensive coach" is pure nonsense.

durvasa, regarding the meaning of apologist in the other thread, we have one shining example in denniscd regarding Adelman.

I think he is also playing Novak at times. If possible, I would Novak get about 5-10 min in "certain" games and groom him to become our "Peja".

what factual statistical evidence does anyone have to the contrary that adelman has them playing GREAT defense...only your perceptions. he is a flat out great coach and he is proving it here once again.

I think the problem most people have w/ your threads denniscd, is that this random thought could've been bundled together w/ all your other random thoughts into one thread. Or more preferably you could have replied to many pre-existing threads w/ your thoughts.

No offense, but each of your individual random thoughts don't warrant a brand new thread.

Maybe I'll start a new thread:
    GREAT WIN YESTERDAY

    Good game yesterday, huh guys?

That "great" defense has earned a 21-19 record. At least stop the Adelman slobberin' until he gets us back in the playoff hunt.

    I lol'd. Good call, prof!

But yeah, denniscd, you need to lay off your threads. Your opinions really don't warrant them.

It's the piss poor offense. They are around 19th or 20th in offensive efficiency. Those turnovers are killers.

Lol, this would be cool, except last year the Rockets were #2 or #3 in defensive efficiency (#1 at this point in the year), and we ended up firing the poor dude respinsible for that.

It's the piss poor offense. Theyare 2nd in defensive efficiency, but only 17th in offensive efficiency.

The Spurs may be 5th in defensive efficiency, but they score more points for each possession. They are 7th in offensive effiency. They are the 4th lowest in turnovers with only 12.2 TO/g. If we look at the Rockets, they are 14.4 TO/g, which puts in the middle of the pack.

We can look at FG%. The Spurs are good at making baskets. Their 3 stars are killer. Tony Parker is a master at penetration. Rafer is bleh. Spurs are in the top 10 in FG% at 45.8. The Rockets are in the bottom 10 in FG% at 44.4.

3pt shots. The Spurs are 3rd in the league at 38.4%. The Rockets in the bottom 5 of the league with only 33.5.

Opposing FG% is where the Rockets shine. They are in 2nd place at 43.9% opposing FG%, right behind the Celtic's opposing FG% of 41.5.

    .

They need to cut the turnovers and start making their shots. 20 pt quarters ain't gonna do it.

Great defense carried over from a great defense coach. At least the team didn't lose all that defensive intensity.

I will take this time to thank Jeff Van Gundy for implementing a top notch defense (that has since declined), having us in a position to compete every single night despite injury, and first and foremost giving our team much needed identity (something Adelman has failed at miserably).

Heres to you Jeff. Greatest commentator in basketball history.

And heres to you Adelman offense- devastating euro leagues and college basketball for ages and ages
