    1. Mike Bibby will not be a Hawk next year, but Flip Murray will re-sign with Atlanta. According to a recent ranking, Bibby was the 46th highest-paid athlete in the United States last year. Unfortunately for him, there is no market for a player like that in the NBA.

The ridiculous number of point guards drafted in the first round last week and his obvious defensive problems have really hurt Bibby. I think he might end up reuniting with Rick Adelman and the Houston Rockets on a two-year deal.

Flip Murray is going to be a Hawk. For some reason, I think Flip has a loyalty to Rick Sund after almost being taken out of the NBA last season. Doubling his salary for one year to $3 million probably will not hurt that loyalty.

I'm not sure how reliable this source is but if this was to happen I would think the Rockets are losing focus. When The Rockets first hired Rick Adelman I was saying that it would be a great idea to get Bibby because he knows how to run the offense instead of having Skip.

IMHO I'm afraid to say but I kind of think this just might happen for one reason. Morey buying the rights to 2 pgs from the draft. If he can do that with young guys who haven't played a NBA game why wouldn't he sign a veteran to help these guys grow??

Yao is out. McGrady is out halfway who knows. Ron is likely out ( on his way out of Houston ) so who runs the show?? Scola can't do it by himself. Brooks is more of a scorer than a pass first pg. I think its worth a shot. Especially since its a 2 year deal. What's the worse that can happen :p .

Without Yao, unless we're getting a Rubio, you want Aron to play 35 mins a night and show you what he can do. We're not signing Bibby unless we trade Brooks.

I used to be a Bibby fan, but I'm not that high on him anymore, and I don't really want the Rockets to target him. Still, he can run the point and if we don't make a move to find a difference maker, Bibby could be a solid fill-in player until we are able to find that stud PG.

bibby is no good anymore, and houston needs to develop the young point guards it already has. this makes no sense. I hope to god we don't waste our money that way, even if it is just for one year.

Your wish just may come true with a coach like RA. The guy over plays his starters so that 35mins a game just might happen with Brooks. But there is no need to say we need to see what Brooks can do. He already proved himself numerous times.

If Yao is out for the season or anywhere close to it, I don't see any need for Bibby. Our needs change completely if we're no longer building around Yao.

he may not be the player he use 2 be but while in atlanta he put up some decent numbers. If he can do what he did with a young team like that then who knows what he may bring here if the report is true

Bibby would be good for the Rockets. He would add some leadership to the young pgs of the team HOWEVER, The Rockets need to get bigger. This is the most pressing issue that the team needs to finalize before making other moves.

I think you can take that IF out because its well known that he is out for the season. Also why is everyone saying Yao is out there is no need for him??? that has to be the dumbest thing i've ever heard. Because one player is out you don't need another player?

Ok since Yao is out there is no reason for us to compete and try to win the Championship . If memory serves me correctly I don't remember RA having a Yao Ming on Portland. Hmmm did he have a Yao while he was with the Kings. Hmmmmm. Guys kill me on here. Just because he is out for the season guys think its the end of the world.

Aaron Brooks has the potential to be a much better PG than Bibby was. No reason to spend money on a position where we are deep on youth and talent.

Unless it's for the minimum, why do this? He'll hurt cap and he'll hurt our draft position.

The signing of Bibby would only make sense if you land Gortat so you at least have a C then you unload one the PG's in a deal and get back a Rip Hamilton or Amare.
Why sign Bibby to 2 years on a team with two young PG's who as of right now are going nowhere next year?

This is either bad info or a signing after a big deal is in place.

 Last time I checked we only have Brooks and Lowry. How are we deep?? the other 2 guys are not signed and may not even make the team. One of them is going to stay over seas. Just because we bought their rights doesn't make it a given that they are going to be on the roster. Most likely its the Developmental league for them

I'd rather have Bosh than Amare.

It's not reliable at all. It's a bleacher report article, which means it was written by a Hawk's fan.

How ironic to have the guy we originally drafted and traded to get Stevie, who woulda knew Bibb would've last longer than the Franchise.

with brooks and lowry on the squad is there really a need for bibby?

if we're talking about getting a third pg you want to get someone for cheap and that will not be bibby.

i already like the duo of brooks and lowry.
