Apparently, the Rockets have invited a couple of former Rice Owls to play on their summer league team. Erik Cooper and Jason Skaer will accompany the Rockets to Utah. I don't have a clue who these guys are, so anyone with information, please let us know. Of course, these guys don't have a prayer in hell of making the team, but it's always nice to know about any guy in a Rockets uniform.

Erik Cooper appears to be a college Forward who may be able to play some SG on the RMR team:

    Cooper

Jason Skaer apparently played 3 years for Eddie Sutton before helping Rice go from a 6 win season to an 18 win season in his senior year. He was a 6'7" 230 SF at Rice.

    Skaer

Cooper was a Soph during Skaers one season at Rice. With any quickness, either may be RMR SG material. This is the best I could do. Maybe some Rice alums can tell us more.

Will the starting lineup be Colson, Cooper, Morris/Skaer, Griffin, & Collier?

Wow! Talk about jumping to conclusions! We find out two players that will be participating in the summer leagues, and you already are putting them in the starting lineup. Probably not. I actually wouldn't be surprised if many of the actual Rockets come off the bench, so Rudy and Co. can get a feel for how they will fare in a regular season game situation.

Btw, thanks for the info. [IMG]

Griffin should average 25pts with that lineup.

I expect Griffin to be the star of the summer leagues.
