Yes, the fans in game 4 did a much better job over game 3. But, I finally, and trust me, I was losing sleep over this.....I figured out why the fans are not into it.

Example Game 4: McGrady drives down the lane for a dunk. Rockets in the middle of a 7-0 run (3rd quarter I think)....Dallas calls timeout, the fans are standing up. What does the DJ play?? Ahh some stupid A$$ rap song I had never heard.....the fans simply sat down and waited through the timeout...

The next run, we got the fat guys to come out and do a dance.

Another example: The Yao dunk that put us ahead 83-77 with 5 minutes to go.....Dallas calls timeout...DJ plays another crappy song with another promotion...maybe it was the crabs race.

You see, back in the days, in the 90's, the Rockes did not have as many promotions....basically, its about the dough here. How about you do the intro, and then play the "Hey song" to keep people on their feet. Or, after a great run, play "Moni Moni"...or "you want to make me shout"......but all we get is a stupid song and promotion and then we get a bunch of Houston people on the screen to tell us to stand up and cheer. How r****ded is that?? Just like the announcer says "Who's ball is it, Rockets ball"...I know he is just copying the Detroit guy...but the Detroit guy sounds really cool when he say "Detroit basketball"

Anyway, whats up with all the stupid songs they play when we are in the middle of an offensive set....trust me, I dont need the music when we are on offense. OH, one more. How about you play the Defense chat 100% on the 4th quarter....no, the DJ goes to some crappy song that makes no sense to me!!! I am adding the DJ and Promotions people to the list. They really made games 3 and 4 hard to watch. So hard, that I am thinking of giving up my tickets to game 6. What will I do insead? Simply go to BW3's and watch the game with a bunch of rowdy fans.

Watching the game at TC is almost as bad as getting a root canal....yep, its that painful. Can I please post for that DJ/Promotions job?

The fat dancing dudes are just embarassing. I sat behind Mavs fans and I was embarassed of those idiots. The only people allowed to represent the organization at Rox games should have some respect for themselves and exhibit their talent or strengths.

This is not a knock on people that are overweight. But, they are promoting their overweightness in a negative and exploitative way. I have NO IDEA how this sells Toyota trucks. But, give me two seconds with any executive with a brain at Toyota and this promo would be OFF.

I agree about the defense chant. He would only play it on like a third of our defensive plays, and we had to start the chant over the Adams family or jaws music. It's much harder to get synchronized with those playing. The Rockets don't need us to snap our fingers during a critical defensive possession, they need noise and energy.

what is this suppose to mean?? now we are whiners because we have the worst playoff atmosphere in the NBA? The Grizzlies fans were louder than us on game 4, down 3-0. I bet you that no other arean in the NBA has the issues we have had during the playoffs. I went to games 3 & 4. I have been a season ticket holder for the last 10 years since I was 18 years old. I have the right to complaint if the atmosphere is not what I expect it to be...if the DJ sucks and plays horrible songs and if a bunch of fans in my section cant even clap.

You can b**** about your music complaints to the Game Ops manager. He's the one that tells the upstairs booth what to play. He usually sits right next to T-Gray the PA announcer at the scorers table with headsets. He tells them to play each and every crappy song you complain about. John Leach who was in charge of Game Ops who is now in Charlotte was the one that called all the music when he was in Houston going back to the Summit days and was great. Now the new person in charge has no clue of what music to play so blame him.

I don't understand, is the type of music what is bothering you? If so, get with the program kid! Hip-Hop music and the NBA are synonymous with one another now. Nothing pumps up people like Hip-Hop music. Besides, most people who watch the NBA are a younger demographic, so they can identify with it.

    Check your Billboards chart recently?;)

If you notice, everytime they play a 50 Cent loop, T-Mac ALWAYS scores. Whenever they play some rock loop, they clank their shots. The new Game ops manager did change the music selection this year. Evidently, he doesn't like rap that much and prefers rock hence the reason why you've been hearing more Rock at TC games. I say, keep playing 50 Cent in the final 2 minutes eveytime T-Mac has the ball!:D

The Toyota Center wasn't NEARLY loud enough when I went for game three. One of my friends was told to sit down during the first possession for blocking the view. Luckily I was in the back of the section with handicapped people above me so I was free to stand up whenever I wanted and not block anybody.

I really HATE that "Who's ball is it?" thing the announcer does. Seems like such a ripoff and I refused to join in the crowd's reply.

Don't worry about RM95 - he sees no evil, hears no evil - the whole bit.

Some of us are not as blessed and/or complacent as he is.

Tell you what, I won't complain if that happens. If T-Mac loves 50 Cent, and I enjoy 50 Cent as well, then he AND I will be jamming to his tracks.

I suggest "This is how we do";)

    "Homie, it's Game time
    You ready? Here I come
Call my guys up lets get this motha, crunk
    It took six months
But we finally got it done
    made da playoffs
    Had Weisbrod like, huh?
    Don't try to front
    I'll leave yo' azz, stunned
    Thinkin I'm a punk
I Get your lil' azz, run
