    Great read.

The Voting Process is set up for days like tomorrow. Let's all run to the booths screaming redemption. If McCain is elected, I believe we have failed our forefathers.

The best part about so many McCain voters is that they are so mad about Obama raising taxes on other people (those who make $250K+) that they are voting to raise taxes on themselves.

Neither of these guys will raise taxes on anyone making less than 200,000. Americans are not voting for a raise in their taxes if they vote for McCain.

I live in a city of about 30,000. I would say that about 65-70% of households in the city make under 30k a year. It's a pretty poor area. Yet, somehow, and seemingly in the poorer, uneducated parts of the city, I see McCain-Palin signs up.

When I go to the more expensive parts of town, I see Obama-Biden signs. I just don't get it....

True. I should have been more clear.

They are voting against a tax decrease.

I think celebrity endorsements turn the average voter off.

I have a friend (isn't voting because he didn't apply for an out of state absentee in time) who said he would have voted for McCain. His reasoning: he's convinced that Obama will "ruin" the economy.

Honestly, even if it were true, McCain has just the same chance of ruining the economy (not that the economy can really go much farther down the ****ter). Plus, Obama would be smart enough to make the necessary delegations and alterations if the economy (or any other issue) began to sink, unlike a stubborn Bush or stubborn McCain, who would run the course.

The sad part about my friend's views is they're his father's, not his. I called him out on it too and he honestly couldn't defend his own thoughts.

That's the other unfortunate thing about young voters (other than apathy): parents dictate ideology.

My only hope is that whoever anyone votes for or however you decide to live your life, think for yourself. Look at every issue and make judgments based on your own opinions and how certain decisions will affect you personally. Outside influence is valued, but don't be delusional enough to make it your sole source for information.

It's too bad we don't have a process which matches the importance of the day - you know, polls that are actuallly open and accessible to all rather than waiting in lines for hours.

It's a shame that politicians - am thiniking of one group in particular - have worked to make voting less accessible for americans.

If you're an elected official, people voting en masse scares the BEJESUS out of you.

Religion and Race are the two republican trump cards for decades that turn poor rednecks against their own self interests.

The poor rednecks I know are voting for Obama. Rednecks are forced into such a stereotype. Education + money = Republican more often than not.

    Pretty horrible reasoning to me
If we make all things legal . . . just because we know people gonna do them anyway . . .well . .what would be illegal?

I won't even mention the fatality rate of the OTHER HALF of the abortion equation . . .

    Rocket River
    . . . anyway . . back to your regular scheduled programs

McCain is going to decrease taxes for everyone it's just that the majority his tax decreases are concentrated in the higher tax brackets.

this is annoying to read. He's treating people like they're morons.

There are also people who are intelligent who are voting for mccain based on issues..

FWIW, i'd be annoyed no matter who he's supporting. Like the poster above said, celebrity endorsements turn the avg voter off
