Kind of an offshoot of the envy thread. What stars make you want to go to a movie because they are in it, even if you aren't sure the movie will be all that good. And no p*rn stars please. I'm sure I'm leaving out some, but here's mine, in no particular order: Johnny Depp Ed Norton Kurt Russell Jack Nicholson used to be Bill Murray no females spring immmediatly to mind, unless going by looks as opposed to performance. Curious to see what others lists look like.
Tom Hanks - this guy is easily the best actor of this era. Chris Tucket - Funniest guy of all time Will Smith - best action hero Keanu Reeves - 2nd best action hero Brad Pitt - he is cool Russell Crowe - good actor Al Pacino - who doesn't like this guy? Hannibal Lecter - see above Charlize Theron - super hottie and a pretty good actress
John Cusack Ed Norton Val Kilmer Jack Nicholson Johnny Depp Guy Pearce Joe Pesci (Ugh. Gone Fishing) Robert Deniro (although his new one has me worried, Mark Cuban as the producer!?)
What the hell does a producer do anyway? I mean if his job is to get things for the movie doesn't that just make him a gopher with assistants? Spacey Cusack Hanks Theron Eastwood - including the musicals Hackman
Gene Hackman Will Smith Denzel Washington Woody Allen Gary Sinese Ed Harris Tom Hanks Bill Murray Patrick Stewart Luke and/or Owen Wilson Jodi Foster Maggie Smith Robert Redford Mike Meyers Kathy Bates Jack Nicholson James Spader I wouldn't watch every movie they are in, but I would definitely look twice if any of them were in it.
Natalie Portman Chow Yun Fat Al Pacino Faye Wong Michelle Reis Dominique Swayne Scarlett Johansson and heck, this one has to go on the list cos I've seen her in absolutely crappy movies - Heather Graham
robert deniro the chick in she's all that - what happened to her by the way? Anyone know? I've only seen her once in she's all that, but I'd watch anything else no matter what the movie is (as long as I get to see her face!)
Get ready to watch a lot of bad movies. I assume you're talking about Rachel Leigh Cook. The main "plain girl becomes swan" girl in the movie. She actually had a television pilot last year, but it ended up getting picked up and then dropped before it aired, but she's done several movies since She's All That (incuding Josie and the Pussycats, Texas Rangers and AntiTrust, among others).
Ed Norton DeNiro (except comedies) Jack Black The Rock (on video, that is) Henry Rollins (rarely acts) Hmm... that's a pretty bizarre list now that I see it. There are numerous actresses that I like, too, but they're so rarely the lead in my fav. pictures that I won't bother listing them.
