now that we have made our final cuts, who will be deactivated for the first game? i think it will be landry, novak and ?...could be brooks or maybe stevo since he wont want to be a dnp...another hard decision for the braintrust...morey did a great job and coach a has us flowing on offense like never before...but there is a downside to too much depth
http://www.nba.com/news/rosters_set_071029.html NEW YORK, October 29, 2007 – Following are the opening day rosters for the 2007-08 NBA regular season, which tips off tomorrow with three games... HOUSTON Alston, Rafer Battier, Shane Francis, Steve Hayes, Chuck Head, Luther James, Mike Landry, Carl McGrady, Tracy Mutombo, Dikembe Scola, Luis Wells, Bonzi Yao Ming INACTIVE LIST Brooks, Aaron Novak, Steve Snyder, Kirk
LA LAKERS Brown, Kwame Bynum, Andrew Cook, Brian Crittenton, Javaris Evans, Maurice Farmar, Jordan Fisher, Derek Karl, Coby Radmanovic, Vladimir Turiaf, Ronny Vujacic, Sasha Walton, Luke INACTIVE LIST Bryant, Kobe Mihm, Chris Odom, Lamar
Mihm's made it back from injury, Kobe is likely, but Rockets haven't had any injury issues so it's possible their list is more up to date/accurate.
This is the way I see it. Starters Alston, Rafer McGrady, Tracy Battier, Shane Scola, Luis Yao Ming Bench in Rotation 6. Wells, Bonzi 7. James, Mike 8. Hayes, Chuck 9. Head, Luther Bench out of Rotation 10. Mutombo, Dikembe (in rotation against traditional centers) 11. Francis, Steve 12. Landry, Carl INACTIVE LIST Brooks, Aaron Novak, Steve Snyder, Kirk
Big news tomorrow. Two hours before the game starts, Rockets and Lakers will announce they trade TMAC and Kobe. But I guess both players will not play tomorrow night. Kobe will play for Rockets since game 2.
they can change active and inactive players up until 60 minutes before the game...so i say kobe still plays
Kobe is probably marked inactive because of his minor injury... he might still play just to show he's still the best.
Fuel to the fire: There was a report on LA AM 570 that "sources" say that Kobe will not play tomorrow because they don't want him to get hurt ahead of a trade. LakersGround doesn't think it's legit, but food for thought nonetheless.
Did you actually hear this report, or was it posted on another forum? Also, why do they think it's not legit? Was the radio guy speculating or reporting fact? I'd be so happy if both Kobe and Odom sat tomorrow!
