I am planning on taking the ACT officially this spring and I was wondering, if I don't do so well will Rice look at my low score. I am afraid I will only get around a 26 this time around.
Did Rice ever pack that 70,000 seat stadium for football? Why did they build such a LARGE stadium for such a SMALL school? The only time I think they filled the seats was for the Super Bowl one year.
That's where Rice administers its own version of the ACT. But seriously, Rice used to have an excellent football team, way way back. I'm not sure exactly how old that stadium is.
Joel, sometimes you just have to say what the uck. Does anybody think it's strange that Joels two best friends in Risky business played some of the biggest nerds in the history of television. Booger and Balki. And played them well.
Rice was good from the 30's-50's. Their last outright conference title was in 1957 and last bowl appearance was 1961. Rice is a small fish in the ocean of college football. Last year, Rice won 8 games and was not invited to any bowl. And yes, Rice is bitter they got dissed by UT and A&M.
Okay, the stadium opened in 1950. So it figures. You're a complete juggernaut for two decades, so you build an incredibly huge new stadium, and then you suck for the next 50 years +. Perfect. I used to love going to games there though. I don't know what their ACT scores were, but the MOB was funny. Actually, as for ACTs, I agree with Trader_Jorge for the first time ever. When I knew Rice, they didn't take ACT scores.
What are your activities, achievements, and ethnicity? Give me this and I will tell you what you need to get in.
I'm a senior at Rice. Unless something changed since this year's matriculating class, Rice still doesn't take ACT scores... you need to take the SAT as well as 3 of the SAT II's. As for the Stadium, Rice football used to be really good as was already mentioned and that's why it was built. Also, this was in the days before the Oilers, so at the time Rice football was pretty much THE hot ticket in all of Houston on Fall weekends. Currently, if all the living alumni of Rice and all the present students packed into the stadium, it would still be far from full...
Rice requires the SAT, ACT, 3 SATII subjects including Writing What standardized tests does Rice require? You will need to take either the SAT I or ACT, as well as three SAT II subject tests. While we have no preference between the SAT I and ACT, we do require the SAT II Writing test as one of your three subject tests.
I posted this in the Notre Dame thread. UT and A&M have never produced a better basketball player than Ricky Pierce. UT and A&M have never produced a better hitter than Lance Berkman UT and A&M have never produced a better quarterback than Tommy Kramer UT and A&M have never produced a better tennis player than Harold Solomon. UT and A&M have never produced a better SAT average for athletes Rice has the #1 graduation rate for student athletes in the nation. what does that mean???
It means you made it up just like you made up Rice sending UT out of the SWC with a loss. According to SI - October 1st, 2002, 1. Vanderbilt 100% 2. Syracuse 95% 3. Oregon 88% Penn State 88% Virginia 88% Wake Forest 88% 7. Notre Dame 87% 8. Northwestern 85% 9. Duke 84% Rice 84% 11. Tulane 82% 12. Stanford 81% 13. Baylor 76% New Mexico State 76% 15. UCLA 75% 16. Cincinnati 73% Texas Tech 73% 18. Tulsa 72% 19. SMU 70% 20. Purdue 69% Not bad, not bad at all. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/in...s/2002/10/01/fish_graduation_rates/index.html
You jerk off UT and A&M fans are failing to follow my whole post. What does it means...means.... What does it mean than Ricky Pierce Tommy Kramer Lance Berkman Harold Solomon Are superior to any Bball player, MLB hitter, NFL QB, or Tennis player the big state schools have produced What does it mean that you can't produce the BEST over lowly Rice.
