Personally, I am disappointed at the way this has been scheduled. On the first day, John Mayer overlaps with Van Morrison. On the second day, you have to miss some of Wine in order to see all of Willie Nelson. On the third day, Muse and Jack Ingram are playing at the same time and the end of their shows overlaps with Tom Petty.

Last year's lineup was so much better:

    Black Crows
    Keane
    Jet
    Oasis
    Death Cab for Cutie
    Jason Mraz
    Arcade Fire
    The Bravery
    Franz Ferdinand
    Coldplay

I won't be braving the 100+ degree temperatures for this year's lineup.

    You got it.

    My schedule for ACL '06...

Friday - Stars and Wolf Parade at the exact same time. Why do you do this. I guess I'll go to Wolf Parade. Gotta hear "I'll believe in Anything" live.
    Then,
    Gnarls Barkley
    Cat Power
    Theivery Corporation
    Sparklehorse
    Van Morrison

    Saturday -
    Rocket Summer
    Feist
    Ben Kweller
    Nada Surf
    The Shins
    Calexico
    The Raconteurs
Ok...now this is just sick. Explosions in the Sky, Kings of Leon and Iron & Wine all at ONCE? You've gotta be kidding me...I'll have to skip around to all three.

    Sunday -

Anathallo - if you haven't heard this band, and you want to see a show around noon, CHECK THIS BAND OUT. I promise they're amazing, and their show is like none other. If you like Sufjan Stevens, you'll like Anathallo
    Imagination Movers
    KT Tunstall
    Matisyahu
    The New Pornographers
    The Flaming Lips
    Muse
    Tom Petty.

    Killer line-ups this year.

The last day will kick ass.
Going from New Pornogs ---> Flaming Lips ---> Muse is magical

Was REALLY hoping the local band "What Made Milwaukee Famous" would atleast get an early gig this year. Sux0rz.

Still some very good bands, but nothing worth sweating out half my body weight for. <--- Whole Lotta lies!!!

    CAN'T WAIT!

That's 3 great freaking days of music. Dust shouldn't be bad this year. They installed sprinklers all over the park and over-seeded like crazy. Previously, only the soccer fields were watered.

I hope that the irrigation has a major effect. Zilker Desert was too much last year.

My God, that was terrible last year. That dust hung in the air all day long by the 3rd day. I remember everyone having to cover their faces leaving the Coldplay show.

To this point the sprinkler systems aren't doing too bang up of a job at Zilker. They have a music series called "Blues on the Green" every other Wednesday at Zilker. For this particular series they use the area of land that is the Austin Ventures stage for ACL. In just a three-hour span the place has continued to get relatively hazy the last two times I’ve made it out there...and that's just the result of a few hours use every other week and with only about 1-2 thousand folks in attendance.
