    Given that playoff hopes are slipping, Morey should trade Adelman for an expiring and a first rounder so that we can give Elston Turner the necessary game experience to develop. Heat got a 2nd rounder for Stan Van Gundy after firing him, I think, so Adelman who has not been fired is worth more.

    This is a developmental year and we should trade Adelman while he still has value cuz Adelman is old and won't be with us when Hill and Budinger develop into stars.

    Is this a suppose to be a joke? Without Adelman, the Rockets wouldn't even be as good. He is probably one of the best coaches in the NBA but don't get much credit for.

    This must be a joke right?

    I would rather have Coach Tom from the Celtics.
    Adelman's substitutions or lack of are very suspect! :p

    It's a reasonable one year extension so he trade value is high. A team with aspiration to contend can use him before he expires.

    Rockets won't be good so need to develop younger coach in Turner to grow with Budinger and Hill.

    I don't know -- I still think Adelman can come back next year at maybe 85% of his old self. Can we send him to Chicago to work with Tim Grover? He got T-Mac back to 100%.

    I have a feeling that since our playoff hopes is just a pipe dream now, RA will step up and play the young'ans. You'll see... Even Armstrong will get his. :grin:

    Adelman should work with David Thorpe (Kevin Martin's trainer) he can learn how to draw fouls.

    This is, of course, a stupid thread.

    Turner has been one of the best kept secrets in basketball. Because Adelman's always associated with offense - the so-called Princeton/motion/Sacramento offense he's famous for - nobody ever notices Turner's amazing defensive coaching.

    But if we develop him, showcase him, Turner just might get an offer elsewhere. What happens if NJ decides to throw money at him to be their head coach? What would the Rockets do? Would they match? Would they choose between Adelman and Turner?

    THEY'D BE SCREWED! THAT'S WHAT. And they'd have no one to blame but themselves.
