I'm in san antone, and I take the time to find places that show the rox games. Ive seen lackluster efforts we have put out against teams that on paper we should beat. I hear comments from nonrox fans. I hear them from rox fans , as well. here is what I know to be true.

    we have no leader.

there is NO ONE on this team that has shown the willingness to tow the load of responsibility. tmac blames injuries and his teammates. yao speaks well about wanting to do what it takes, but allows undersized players to out-effort him. ron is..well..ron. talented but w/o regard to what goes on around himm capable of big individual nights that could lead to victories (utah) but incapable of sustained focus.

this team is a scud w/o direction. we may end up in the finals by some rox v sonics non-happening, but make no mistake, this team is fundamentally flawed by lack of leadership. for all that yao is, he is EASILY punked by effort and athleticism. for all that tmac is, you can punch him in the p***y, metaphorically, and he'll give it up. just give him a viable and "respectable" way out and he'll take it. his cousin's no different. amazingly talented, but no heart when it counts.

as fans, I call for us to demand accountability. its more than "boos". that does little. its about not going to games. its about booing scola. why?

let's be honest. landrys a better player. every argument (dada) talks about luis' hustle. but the main minus to our starting 5 is the lack of athleticism. scola, for all his hustle, doesn't get enough effort possessions to justify the missed layups...made layups when it should be an inspiring flush...blown assignments, etc. that he allows. landry, for his upside alown, shold be starting. in fact, I think carls a 18-10 starter in the L on the right team
midrange J, strong finisher, and a desire to get better. he is obviously rising whereas scola has peaked. still we opt for scola for "fit". its ludicrous. scola's fit is a mechanism of comfort...knowing that when our 3 are on,

that's a line worthy of Will.

But come on, how did you change a post about leadership and accountability into something about fans controlling destiny by booing Scola to start Landry?

Our success and failure does not ride on Scolandry's back.

The two worst efforts I've ever seen in 10 years have been the Philly game last year and the Toronto game this year. Funny how they are both on Aldeman's shoulders. That said, the complexities of Aldeman's offense require precise chemistry.

    the good...the bad...the ugly...followed by 22 wins in a row.

Maybe Aldeman is just dreaming that another come-together moment will happen again as last year.

everything seems so out of control in his requirement to "let the player's figure it out."

is appreciated, but never does enough on his own to DRIVE his teammates. his hustle is a side, not an entree.

rafer is much the same. he's the surprise when you least expect it. does anyone here expect him to show up???

the best thing we can do us supplant scola and landry in the lineup and look for new inspiration on our lineup. we are lazy. LAZY. UNINSPIRED.

at what point do we, as fans, stop focussing on the wafers and heads that are backups and start asking for true leaders of this team? the time is now.

I know we b**** at mac to step up, but the reality is that he's a b****. I want him to succeed as much as the next man, but I can see plainly that the team will hv 2 succeed without him to suceed with him. so let's move brooks and scola to the 5 and go from there...

This thread is perfect example of angry fans making up stuff. When did Tracy ever blame his teammates? How can you question Yao's effort? And how can you say that Ron is still the same old Ron? The Scola criticism is also puzzling. This season, he has been the most consistent Rockets on this team by far.

I agree. Scola is solid. What he lacks in athleticism he more than makes up for in consistency, experience and skill. I think at this point people are just pointing fingers everywhere because things are going badly.
