I think people are saying stuff because they heard Charles Barkley say he could have been the best player to ever play the game.

 

I heard Sheed could trash talk in 33 languages. He is way more talented than Kobe who can only speak English and Italian.

Unless Sheed can play multiple muscial instruments, do a rubik's cube in under 5 minutes (like me ), graduated with a doctorate, speak more than 2 languages, won the talent show in elementary, middle and high school, can rap and get more than 15 kills each time he plays Modern Warfare 2 online, then yes... Sheed is more talented than Kobe

 

Sheed has underperformed to his capability, but this is getting way far-fetched on the amount of talent he was supposed to have had and the amount he's wasting. Like he flushed Wilt Chamberlain talent down the commode.

 

Maybe if he stopped setting camp behind the 3 point line...

 

Sheed really did have the total package but just didn't care as much as Kobe does.

Rasheed is one of the most skilled and talented players to ever put on a uniform, but his drive to be great wasn't there. Kobe is talented, but he's not the most talented player or even one of the top talent to play this game. Odom had more talent than kobe, but how many people have the drive of kobe? Not many and thats the difference.

meh, I remember watching Corliss Williamson destroy him in the '94 NCAA championship. Sheed always has had a big mouth, with an inverse-sized heart, horrible at the low-post against players who took it to him.

I recall watching Kobe in the McDonald's All-American basketball game, and seeing in a 6 ft 7-ish kid, with handles and quickness of a Mike Bibby to go with good hops. His problem was sheer selfishness, absolutely no understanding of the game. But definitely not less talented than Sheed, at any point in his basketball career.
