17pts, 5rbs game highlights for Newley: http://www.abc.es/videos-deportes/20120522/brad-newley-tierras-australianas-1651266712001.html He's had a few good dunks playing in Spain. Newley's 27 already. So the possibility of him being more than a token backup as a Rocket seems kind of low. Although I think a team may like him enough to trade a 2nd round pick for him.
A heads up, the ACB semi-finals start in around 3.5hrs time. Real Madrid v Caja Laboral at 20:00 Spanish time. Valencia v Barcelona at 21:45. It's always pretty interesting when an overseas prospect comes to play in the preseason here - I'd like to see both Llull and Newley, just to get a sense of how they stack up to the NBA game. Too much speculation is pointless .... let's SEE them play in the NBA.
Llull's team Real Madrid has made it to the finals to meet Barcelona. Newley's team Valencia went down 3-1 against Barcelona, but he won over the fans of spanish team with his performance in the playoffs. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/35zWvcw4MTE?rel=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
