You wanna talk about Chise's TOs and blame him for the loss, call him boneheaded and he may be. But if you watched last night's game you would know without Steve this team would have been crushed.

Now regarding the three point play Yao allowed to give them the game. That is the ultimate cardinal sin/boneheaded play a big can make especially when the other guy is Shaq yet Yao makes these mistakes over and over again? Where is his accountability?

In my eyes Yao's worthless performance was the sole reason we lost, I can forgive a player who shows up and competes with all they've got and comes up short but when a man does not even bring that then in my book he is gutless. I seriously hope no matter what happens with any player currently on the team that when Yao's contract is up he goes somewhere else, I don't want heartless players here. The guy is a complete joke and however many more playoff games the other Rox give us the pleasure to watch you can be assured that this is the same Yao you will see for the rest of the season. Just show up Yao because that's all you're good for. When Yao was on the bench we would make a run and when he got back in the game the Lakers came back, he is like a lead weight the rest of the team has to carry around and I for one am tired of it, leave Yao please just go, please don't sign that big contract here and ruin my Rox for a long time.

If Yao wasn't here there is no playoffs.

Yao isn't going anywhere he is the foundation of the franchise. Why would they not resign him? The more the team counts on Yao the better they peform. Heck even the announcers were saying Yao needs the ball more. Yao is not gutless he is just going up against arguably the best center of all time. He is in his second year he is expected to look bad. The fact that some of us expect Yao to hold his own against Shaq pretty much says how good Yao is.

I mean this is friggin Shaq we're talking about.

i somewhat agree. first off, let's remember - this is yao's first playoff game....and it's vs shaq and the lakers. don't tell me you wouldn't be at least just a liiiiiiiiiittle nervous. with that said, yao played like a little GIRL all night long, and that's inexcusable. he didn't even want to TOUCH the ball. he went out, set picks, and just stayed his butt out there. set the pick and roll your BUTT inside where you belong, yao. he's got ways to go, and i for one am willing to wait. i do NOT want to see him in another uniform.

All your frustration comes from unrealistic expectation. Yao is no Dream. Yao is no Divac. Divac is 5.6 times more intelligent, and is 2.4 times more mobile today.

PPl, have more faith in Yao. I hated when ppl bash Francis and only Francis when we lose. I also hated when ppl bash Yao and Yao only when we lose. It's a team sport, we lost as a team, stop pointing out individual players/plays.

I don't want to see Yao go either. I think he will be a vital part of the Rockets future

Yes, I hope you get what you want in 2 years, if Rox doesn't pick up his option year, then you need only stand that guy for another year. Then you dream will com true.

do you have to create another thread to bash yao?

And shaq didnt even score on that free thow; so it wasnt a three point play.

Yeah, how dare Yao be so stupid and not stop the (possibly)strongest player ever to play in the NBA from dunking the ball from behind, when he himself was slightly off balance. Lets get rid of his ass.

You suffer from the same faults as those you criticise.

Yao's foul out cost us the game.

    So did Francis' TOs.

Yao's play got us during the season is the reason we are in the playoffs. He also stops Shaq from completely dominating and dropping 30 on us, like he would any other team.

Steve's play at the end of the Nuggets game and at times during the season is also the reason we are in the playoffs, and his play at the end of this one gave us a chance to win.

There is no one place to lay the blame for last night.

If you do, you are making the same mistakes as those you are creating this thread for.

Why not stop your smart trading ideas for a while? It is playoff time, we played a fine game, and we still have hope to win.

For those of you who thought Yao did a lousy job against Shaq last night, he held Shaq to fewer points than Hakeem ever did in the 1995 finals.

    http://www.nba.com/rockets/history/Hakeem_Olajuwon_The_NBAs_Bes-91094-34.html

Hakeem vs Shaquille O’Neal: 1995 NBA Finals

    Game 1: Olajuwon: 31 pts - O’Neal 26 pts
    Game 2: Olajuwon: 34 pts - O’Neal 33 pts
    Game 3: Olajuwon: 31 pts - O’Neal 28 pts
    Game 4: Olajuwon: 35 pts - O’Neal 25 pts

Did Yao play great last night? Of course not. But he did well in my opinion.

He also outplayed him in every game you listed, did yao do that?

No matter what you say yao played timid on offense and deserves some blame on last night's loss.

That's a non sequiter. I neither said Yao was Hakeem nor blameless. But holding Shaq to 20 is an accomplishment.

lets see yao is in his 2nd year but you expect him to outplay the most dominate center in the league.

And who said yao is good as hakeem?

Quit the bashing and relize we lost as a team idiot.

And when it's Dampier who outplays Yao Fink your excuse will be? Fact of the matter is Yao has atleast three more against Shaq are you resigned to the fact that he will be outplayed in all three? I'm not and I would hope Yao is not either but we'll see, he's done nothing to show me otherwise yet.

u must really really like SF3 or something. You do know that this team would not be good w/o YAO. THe team gets open looks b/c of him w/o him we would be something like the wizards, or even worse. Man u got some problems. Yes i bash SF3, but your agrument suck.

    Dude , Chill out!!

Fat Shaq got swept in his first ever series in the playoffs!!

Yao's in his 2nd year, and they totally stopped passing him the ball after he made the first shot after half-time.
    Even the commentators said so.

Why don't you look at all those stupid turnovers Steve Francis made, and the free throws he missed--That's what lost us the game !
