The biggest need for Rockets is playing under control. Since Yao, Rockets have to learn how to run half court, team offense. Every Rockets will have to learn it in new seasons, no matter who is new coach. SF is good player, but is he as good as AI? Why Brown left sixers? Because AI won't be a great point guard, sixers won't win. Brown finally realize that and give up. (Yes, AI is not as lucky as kobe, who got a big shaq aside. And AI show some change in the second half and sixers improved dramatically, but that is too late to change Brown's mind.) SF have to change. If he don't , either Yao left as free agent or he is traded in 3 years. Yao will not be a dominant center like shaq as he said himself. Yao best strength is playing team basketball. SF have to realize this.
Yao's said many times that he loves playing with Steve and he doesn't see himself playing for any other team because he likes his teammates.
when you have 2 allstars who both can dominate their postion ala Shaq and Kobe you don't trade neither until one falls of the platform ala Shaq maybe in couple of years
