Lets get a couple of things straight.

    - I became a Yankee fan because they were winning!

    - I admit I started out being a bandwagoner!

    - I however will be here when they will suck and still love them!

    - I ADMIT THAT BASEBALL NEEDS REV SHARING OR A CAP!

    - I admit the Yanks have an advantage over many of the teams!

    - I dont think the Yankees can do no wrong!

    - I think they are merely taking advantage of the opportunities presented to them.

    - But until something changes in the MLB, the Yankees are not breaking any laws!

    - I am sorry if I have personally attacked anyone on this board.

But what do you guys expect me to do? Stop cheering for the Yanks?!?!?! I am personally tired of trading insults with others like Dvauthrin, Rocketman95, Manny, etc. The main reason we are here is to cheer for the Rockets! The Rockets are my favourite team and I am really sorry if people cant fathom the fact that I am Cowboy and a Yankee fan as well. If you want to attack my character then feel free to do so, but I wont be relegated to trade insults with you. Like I said I might have gone overboad with some personal attacks as well and I apologize for it. :)

    You're a bandwagoner.

We'll see when they finally implement a new system and the Yankees stop winning.

    ;)

No we dont. But I was tired of arguing an insulting each other in five different threads. I just decide maybe everyone can insult me in just this one thread like that dumb butt R95! ;)

I appreciate you posting this, and I am sorry for attacking your character.

You are right. We are all Rocket fans (well almost all of us) and it's ridiculous to get into name-calling. You admit that MLB has problems in that it doesn't have a salary cap and that the small market teams have no chance of winning. Since you know that, you must also know how many people are tired of seeing the Yankees win every year. I admire your competitive spirit and your devotion to the Yankees.

I can't speak for others, but I didn't like the smilie posts or the constant flaunting or rubbing it in someone's face like you were doing earlier with the Yankees winning. There is such a thing as being a gracious winner, and it seems to me that you weren't doing that. Only after that did I start riding your a** about the bandwagoning. However, I agree with you that it's pointless and it makes me tired to continue to engage in name-calling.

Awww I feel the love on this board now! ;)

I guess I could try to be more of a gracious winner. I had just lost that habit cause the Boys and Rockets haven done it in quite a while. :)

Damn some of you people need to lighten up.

    Waa the yankees are winning.

I thought everthing you posted was funny as hell r3. It appears some people are frustrated with teams and want to take it out on the fans of those teams. Weak.

If anyone wants to rip on you, it should be for supporting that cruddy N64. :)

Rockets03- if you like the Yanks so much, why not join haven's sim league in the Fantasy Forum. Maybe you can lead the Yanks to victory... but i doubt it. My Red Sox are 2 time league champs and have just acquired Roy Hobbs, a stud prospect pitcher in the draft.

(for those of you who enjoyed the Natural as much as I did, this is by far the coolest thing in the league.)

I'm not a Yankee fan but being in NYC, you can't help but get caught in the Fever. They show a lot of heart which at this time, we all need. I admire how this team is showing the world that in times of trouble, the New York, correct me, the American Winning Spirit is ALIVE and WELL! Even when the Yankees were kicked down into the ground, they showed tremendous resiliency. Whether you love 'em or hate 'em, these New York Yankees are good for America right now. They symbolize courage, perserverance, and strength which is what every NYC Police officer, Firefighter, EMT, etc. involved with the WTC tragedy represents. At this moment, I wish the NY Yankees to bring honor to our country by winning it all. By doing so, hopefully it will represent good days to come for us all and maybe inspire others do do just as well i.e. our beloved Houston Rockets!

Once the baseball season is over, all sports ties to NY goes out the window for me! Then I can have fun tormenting how terrible the NY Knicks will be this year and how hopefully good our Rockets become!

GO ROCKETS & GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Yeah, I think if Arizona wins, Osama will bomb us again, but if the Yankees win it all...well, bye bye terrorism and anthrax, hello good 'ole days.

This is the kind of crap that makes me hate the Yankees a little more. If people think a baseball team winning the World Series will help the healing, they're being damned disrespectful to those who've persished.

WHAT THE HELL DO YOU KNOW ABOUT PEOPLE PERISHING!
My 3 friends that PERISHED at WTC were all YANKEE FANS! I know I can speak for the many New Yorkers and transplanted New Yorkers like myself(originally from Houston) when I say that you are a complete A@!HOLE!

You are the most Insensitive person on this planet to roll your eyes at them. Come with me to my final Memorial tomorrow for one of my friends at 10am Sacred Heart Cathedral in Newark, NJ and tell the family and all the people there what you just said! you make me SICK YOU PIECE OF s@!

I had a close friend die my senior year in high school...the Rockets also won the finals that year. Did nothing for my suffering. She was a big Rockets fan too.

I'm sorry, but for me, I don't understand it. I know if my Dad died two months ago, and the Astros were about to win the World Series, it wouldn't do anything to my suffering.

Yea and your friend and family didn't die in a tragedy like this which not only affected the city, nation but the entire world. Our lives are so different from the days of your senior year in highschool.

The Yankees winning it may not be an answer to the world suffering, but for the moment of them winning, it brings us back to a time when we didn't have to live in constant stress or fear. Just as you watch the Rockets play for 48 minutes of basketball, during that 48 minutes, you are brought somewhere else away from reality. And maybe just maybe in those 48 minutes of basketball, it would make you feel just a little bit better than you were before. That is exactly what the Yankees mean to a lot of New Yorkers and Americans.

Your obvious hatred for the Yankees blind you from what is making many people especially in NYC that lost someone happy for even just one moment. The world series doesn't cure the ills of society, but they are inspiring to say the least. You just don't understand because you are an insensitive person.

I knew a guy in college who claimed to just coincidentally be a fan of the Blue Jays, Cowboys, and Bulls, all at the same time.

That guy was full of ****.

I ****ing hate bandwagon fans. They suck. Period.

As for the idea that we're somehow obligated to suddenly like or root for the Yankees based on September 11th-- what a bunch of ****ing bull****. Baseball is a pastime, a game, a hobby. If you can't separate your grief over 9/11 from a hobby we share, too ****ing bad for you.

Jesus Christ. If we were playing a game of Monopoly, I wouldn't root for you to win because the terrorist attacks hit two buildings in New York.
