We had already gone through all the fast foods and were digging into the candy bars. I got as far as KitKat and had to go to sleep. Some of you stayed there talking about caramel. How did the story end? Wasn't someone supposed to start a fast food poll? See ya after next game in Food Chat! My apologies to Dr of Dunk for having to endure that, at least I waited till the commercials...who started that anyhow?!?!
No offense guys, but the next time a Rockets' chat gets turned into something like that, people get booted. There were 2 people that complained they were looking for play-by-play because they had no way of watching or listening to the games, and instead the chat got turned into "What's your favorite restaurant?" chat. They had no idea what was going on during the game towards the end. I ended up giving them updates via messages. If we were getting blown out by about 30 in the 4th quarter, I probably wouldn't have cared, but we were still in the game up until the end of the 4th and all anybody could see was "Whataburger" this, "Jack in the Box" that. If you want to chat about that stuff, there's really no problem with it, but last night was ridiculous. I didn't boot anyone just so I could give this warning (also 'cause I didn't want to be a meanie). If nothing else, wait till the game is over to take over chat like that. Consider if a troll came in and started talking about something off-topic repeatedly -- I've seen people in the chat get completely hysterical when one Atlanta Hawks fan comes in and says "Rockets suck, Hawks rule". Now we have about 20 Rockets fans wrecking a chat. mr_oily, I'm not the one that had to endure it really - I could see the game. The people enduring it were the ones that came in hoping to figure what was going on in the game and instead get slammed with fast food advertisements.
I think I started it... I wanted a pizza! Hey... if you ask me, which you didn't... ESPN.com has a live game cast and fans can keep pretty much up to date with that. They've got stats, pbp, shot selection screens and tons of goodies to help when you don't have the game... NBA.com also has a live game cast as well... both those places are excellent sources for game info and are usually about 30 seconds to a minute or so, behind real time. I would hope that people would use the resources available to them on the internet and not rely on a bunch of fans chatting, sometimes even chatting off topic. In the future, I would hope, that if I'm being disruptive or if any other chatter is being disruptive that the ops/admins/hosts would take appropriate action and kick the offending party (even if it is me) and give a reason when kicking... so with that... see you next game, in chat! rH
I'd like to thank all of my cc.net brotha's for their opinions, I went with JITB in the end though... I just couldn't turn down the Bacon+Cheddar Potato Wedges...
Oh shut your grumpy old arse up. . Would you rather see "Moochie throws the ball away" or "Jack in the box is good , dude" mr oily - When I left we were talking about The Best Old School Video Games. That NugzFan really is a swell chap. RIght then guys, Same time after next game?
