This is probably a stupid question and I apologize in advance for asking if inappropriate. In the post-game states there are two numbers given for rebounds per player. Is one for offensive the other for defensive rebounds? Surely not attempts? Thanks - would really love to know this answer to this.
It may or may not be a stupid question. But this is a bad thread when you don't even provide a link so we know what you're referring to.
Sorry don't think I can post link to the Chronicle. Can provide "Rockets Summary": Will use Battier's stats from Nuggets game from today's paper: Min 30:57 fg-fga 4-8 ft-fta 0-0 reb 1-4 a 4 pf 5 pt 11 (minutes played, field goals and attemps, free throws and attempts, rebounds, assists, personal fouls, points).
Thank you so much. Have wanted to know answer to this for some years - was afraid to ask. So that means for last night's game for the Rockets in total 45 rebounds 10 being offensive. Nuggets 39 total 12 offensive.
newspaper. I look at the stats after each game. All players/teams from games the previous night. I admit I miss Rafer Alston and check his stats. They don't look so bad to me. Other stats included such as technical fouls and steals. Now I am wondering how many fans in Houston get the paper and study this info?!
Newspapers are pretty much obsolete, as far as I'm concerned. All the info you mentioned and much, much more is readily available online.
maybe there wont be so many fans willing to read the paper while the stats online would be 100 times convenient and easily accessible than newspaper.
This is sort of random, but does it bother anyone else that the Chron.com box scores are set as a default to refresh every 60 seconds, even after the game is over? I've been meaning to e-mail the Chronicle about it. Here's an example in case it's not clear. http://stats.chron.com/nba/boxscore.asp?gamecode=2009121607&home=7&vis=10&final=true
