I'm not fan of the move, I did not like the addition of Kara to the show last season and I like the crazy factor Paul had.. I think this will effect Simon the most as Paul and him played off each other quite often..
It's a dumb move. Paula was good for the show, and the show was good for her. The ratings will drop a bit without her, but what the hell does she think she's going to get "career-wise?" Only makes sense on her end if she's ready to retire and step out of the limelight. I expect to see her in an infomercial in the not-too-distant future.
I have a feeling she was probably high maintenance and not totally dependable behind the scenes (kind of like Artest with the Rockets). I don't see any obvious reasons Fox wouldn't renew her, so there's got to be something else going on. Unless they just think they can save the money and easily get away with it. I think the show will be fine. If Simon left, it might be in trouble. I'd have a hard time watching without him, because most of the time he's the only one that tells the truth.
She was great unintentional comedy. But, I never knew if she was afflicted with dementia, or if she was just under the influence of drugs/alcohol. Maybe all of the above?
American Idol sucks. Hopefully an earthquake hits the San Andreas Fault Line during a big reunion show in the Staples Center and ends of the lives of everyone involved with it. Err... I mean well Paula Abdul is a trashy looking bimbo anyway.
I'd imagine Simon will be done with the show when his contract is up. he's stated multiple times that he'll only do the show with randy and paula around.
a classic case of the ronald miller syndrome. The show basically resurrected her career now she is above it. MAybe she can get her own talk show, we all know how successful those things are.
Kara is hotter anyway, and I don't really give a **** what the judges say outside of Simon. Paula is a suckup and won't say anything bad about any of the contestants.
Exactly...it'd be hard to replace Simon's brutal honestly. Paula? Despite people's reluctance to add a fourth judge, I think Kara will replace her just fine. She might not coddle the contestants, but it'll be easy for Simon to pounce on her all the same. Ugh...why am I talking about Idol...evil show...clearly karaoke...I try to stay away...but I get sucked into it because of the wife.
Great. Where are they going to get someone who looks high all the time and says stuff that is not easily understood nor offers any real advice except "I love you!"? Either get Ozzy's wife (or maybe Ozzy) in there or cancel the show.

Every reality show contest that has done well always has a crazy female judge. Paula, Jewel, Lil Mama, Bruno, Mary Murphy, etc. Kara can't fill Paula's shoes. American Idol won't be as entertaining.
