I'm short...I'm about 5'8" - 5'9" ...I don't think it's ever been a hindrance at all. I have never felt less than anyone...I've never understood the "short man's complex", though I've known some people afflicted with it. I just can't imagine allowing your height to psyche yourself into believing your better or worse than someone else??!! I just don't get that at all...life's goes by way too quickly to worry about these kinds of things. Work your ass off...be kind to everyone you meet...treat people with respect...and it doesn't matter how tall you are.
Well, I tried to AskJeeves about this, and he seemed more interested in hooking me up with a male date than answering my question. So I'll just go with my assumption here, which is that the average guy is about 5'10", maybe 5'11". In which case, Max, I don't think you're the kind of short they're talking about here. You're still taller than most women. I think they're talking about really small guys, like 5'2" or thereabouts.
sometimes i just start talking...and then someone says, "wait a minute...we weren't talking about x...we were talking about y." then i go, "oh." and feel stupid...that might be the case here.
