ABC says Wade confirmed it when talking to Bob Allen. McClain says that Wade is denying the report.

Maybe Bob Allen misunderstood what Wade was saying when he talked to him.

Maybe McNair wanted to keep up the appearance that the Texans were being diligent in their search for DC and didn't want it getting out so soon that Wade's been hired. Wade accidentally spilled the beans and is now trying to deny it.

 

Yeah, that's just for HC.

 

I believe it doesn't apply for coordinator positions.
