    IIRC, Mario was actually the 2nd alternate behind Schoebel. Someone else needs to drop out for Mario to get a call.

    that's bunk.. he made it with 6 1/2 sacks and Mario had over double that.

    don't they have an alternate spot that is chosen by the coach as well?

    I'm a big Mario fan, but 95 tackles for a defensive lineman is pretty incredible. Sacks don't tell the whole story.

    So never mind what I just said. I looked it up and that blurb is wrong - Schoebel only had 57 tackles, 2 less that Mario.

    I've got a good buddy who's from Buffalo and is a big Bills fan - even he called this as being crap. No doubt Mario got snubbed in a huge way. Must be all those ROFs.

    The Texans and Houston sports teams in general don't get any respect in the national media. Mario and the Texans will have the last laugh.

    The Pro Bowl is notorious for selecting guys the year after they deserve to be in exchange for veterans who have fallen off but have bigger names. Mario deserves it this year based on his play (and numbers), but he'll probably have to wait 'til next year.

    this is probably the most likely reason, i don't see why the media or whoever votes would have a bias against mario.
