Thought it'd be fun to compare to the other thread make seasons ago about where AB would be now.

At least a starter maybe some all star apperances. I could see him being a solid 2nd or 3rd option. 90% sure he won't be a legend, but you never know

Possible All-Star. His scoring will likely take a hit with Yao and a full season of Martin. Going against him is a number of good veteran guards in the West that he will have a tough time getting past.

I would put him between all-star and starter. Might make it on certain years, but he wouldn't become a perennial all-star.

With more efficient scoring options on the table, he will likely A) gets a true number of assists, something people complain about, and B) still score in high volume, if not higher.

I have reason to suspect that his assist count is low because we have had virtually NO low post options when you compare it to having a true center. We were playing with square pegs in round holes the entire season. We had Scola as our only got to option in the post to round the season out and the illustrious offensive skill sets of Chuck Hayes and David Andersen. The amount of production will go up in the post and assists will be in higher volume. Also on the permeter, passes to the two spot will finally be going in with Kevin Martin by his side. This mean less Trevor ball hogging and more shots going in the net. It also means Trevor can play his role and take open threes, rather than fighting to get off Kobe-style contested threes he has tried in the past. I see this as a positive for Brooks’ stats.

Second, I see his scoring staying the same at the very least. I think he will improve his production because Yao and a possible future PF/C type of player with height will be able to draw defenders, leaving open lanes and open threes for Aaron and Co.

I agree with this completely. Brooks (and everyone else) will have much more space when driving into the lane because the defense's paint defenders won't simply be able to sag off Chuck Hayes any more -- they'll be leaving Yao Ming. As we saw in the 2008-2009 season, people don't leave Yao Ming. Look for Brooks/Martin/Ariza to get more points in the paint next season.

I think he makes an all star game or two.

This year might have been his one chance to be on the All-Star team unless Deron Williams or Chris Paul are injured again or switch conferences. He's probably behind Monta Ellis on the list of top PGs if the Warriors ever start winning too. His numbers will almost certainly take a dip next year because we will not run as much and Yao will demand more touches and shots.

But, he is still young and there are no guarantees on Yao's health. There's also the possibility he's packaged with another player in a trade to a team with money issues or looking for change.

Starter. He does have a decent chance at sneaking into an All-Star game though ala Jameer Nelson and Mo Williams.

I think he'll make it to All-Star game at least once .
I say he makes it at least once or twice.

He's going to surpass Deron Williams for sure once Yao is back and defense is worrying about post threats.

I don't have any guesses as to what he may become but just how Brooks proved so many people wrong in last seasons thread. I really, really would love for him to do it again to this thread and become a legend. Who knows. He's changed people's opinions of him before. He can surely do it again and I'm really hoping he does. In a Rockets uniform.

Starter unless he's voted into all-star game.

With CP3/DWill/Kobe/Nash/Parker/Manu/Billups/Roy/Westbrook/Curry plus new elite guards coming out every year, AB's chance is slim even though he has improved a lot.

He should have made it this year.....

So many guys feign injuries the all star game is not what it once was.

Not a clear cut "should". Those guys who got picked were doing well too. Without all those injuries, AB had no chance.

He may reach all star caliber, but he won't be an all star. To many PG's that are better than him.

    The safe and correct answer.

And Brooks will never willingly go to the bench. Not now, not without pouting. He's gotten a taste for it, and we've seen what that does to players. I could be wrong about him, but I suspect he loves to score and loves to start, and wouldn't take kindly to being a 6th man. He would be a killer 6th man, though. Absolutely killer.
