Is it due to one of the following? A. Rafer Alston Theory - The more 3's you attempt, the better your chances of having more 3's go in than those who do not shoot as much. B. Ray Allen Theory - The dude just knocks down 3's regardless. Shot selection is irrelevant because Brooks was just born to shoot. C. Tracy McGrady Theory - Although, McGrady fails to knock down most of his "heat checks" and in momentum 3's... Brooks excels in it. He knocks down 3's during clutch situations, and when he feels that he is in good rhythm/wants to chuck up a heat check. D. IDGAF Theory - Who cares?! Brooks is leading the league in 3's! Go Rockets! Personally I think it's a tossup between Theory D and Theory C.
Chucker definitely Good: his shots goes in Bad: when his shot is off, there is nothing else that he can rely on. our offense dies
Dead-eye shooter definintely can't be the Rafer Alston chucking theory or else he wouldn't be averaging about 39% from beyond the arc, which is pretty damn good. 39% leading the league in 3's for a season is Ray Allen-like.
You know whats scary, Rafer Alston averaged .392 from 3 his fourth year. Brooks is averaging exactly(according to NBA.com) .392
Even better...I don't know but for some reason he doesn't come across as a Ray Allen type shooter but Ray was constantly around 40% so another year or so and I guess he is...
Hah, I don't think that nor say that....lol. I do think he is good enough to start at PG on a championship team though. A lot less than Yao's . DD
