I didnt see this posted anywhere, not sure if anyone is still following AB..sounds like he dug him self into a huge hole last season. Read more: http://valleyofthesuns.com/2011/06/06/aaron-brooks-fails-provide-spark/#ixzz1OtclMBqD
"There’s no question that Aaron Brooks can get his own offense, but he didn’t do enough to get his teammates offense. He struggles to make interior passes due to his height, which also makes him an easy target to be taken advantage of on defense, and on days his shot isn’t falling he’s a major liability." They didn't realize this before they traded for him?
the real kicker is the pick we got on top. i think the deal for Ab and dragic straight would have been just as good....got to had it to DM.
Brooks had an easy time creating for a 7'6" guy with a sweet touch. Unfortunately, Phoenix doesn't have one of those.
Hope Aaron lands on his feet somewhere. Still, it was a brilliant move to grab Dragic and a pick for him given that he was so unhappy as a backup that he would be leaving as a free agent anyways.
he was not himself at all last season. The real question that will test his toughness in this league is if he can look past all that happened and the money he ended up losing and try to get himself to his previous level.
I still blame Ginobilli for taking a freaking charge for a 1/2 court heave before the half that resulted in AB's crappy season. the first game vs. the Lakers showed what this team could've been with a healthy Brooks and Yao (even tho it was still under his 24 mins). That was one exciting hell of a game even though we lost.
Exactly. I still can't believe Manu tried to take a charge like 40 or 50 ft from the basket. I don't know if it's my biased opinion cause I'm a Rockets fan, but that was a dirty play. I hope Aaron comes into some teams training camp this fall (hopefully this fall, smh) 100% and back to his old form. I believe he can still learn from Steve Nash, and be the Suns' PG of the future.
I think he's headed to Miami where he shares the same agency as the Heat's big 3. Not underpaid, under contract.
I really thought he would be the like-able version of Jason Terry with slightly better passing skills.
He can fit on a team that alraeady has a good scorer in the paint, another guard that distributes, and a team that plays good team defense. That has always been my issue with AB. If his shot is not working he is not doing anything else to be productive while on the floor. He doesnt use his speed to make other guards foul him so he can get to the FT line. He doesn't get into the paint to pass to other players, and he doesn't use his speed to play in passing lanes to get steals. He needs to watch tape of Barrera... I wish him luck this offseason
