Check this out: http://www.watchingyou.com/houstonsucks.html Makes a few valid points, but most of it is endless rambling, and alot of the problems he points out are evident in any city across the US. The kicker at the end is that the dude proclaims he is moving to San Antonio . As if thats a freaking oasis to his problems. I fully expect a Clutchcity.net bombardment of e-mails to this tool like I did. Have fun..... louminatti@watchingyou.com
I think Houston overall compared to other places to live does suck. Although I have never lived in Houston, but I have visited many many times. The place just seems very dirty. At the moment I live in Austin and it seems to be better then Houston, but like I stated above I have not been able to live in Houston, and I hope I never have to.
OK, so here's the guy that hates Houston... He also posts on the houston dot usenet groups... he's a bitter dude. Here's his registration info for his website.... He hates Houston, but he's still living here... hmmm, can't hate it that much then, huh?
I've never lived in Austin, but I've been there a few times. Seems like it is full of nothing but hippies and freaks. Doesn't seem quite as fair now, does it? You simply cannot rag on a place you haven't spent SIGNIFICANT amounts of time in.
Where you been Ref? Seriously this is true. I have lived in both Houston and Austin, and love them both. Both feel like home to me. There are things I love and hate about both cities. It sounds cheesy, but you have to make the best of the situation you have been given.
I've spent 16 years in Houston, and I think it sucks. The only 2 positives I'd give Houston are the frontage roads and the weather in October/November.
Here is my email to the genius Lou: Hey Lou- Im damn glad that you are moving to San Antonio. Houston provides me with everything I need: Best restaurants, shopping, nightlife, sports, and recreation that I could want. All of that and I can live cheaper here than anywhere else in America. b**** all you want about it, but the problems you pointed out are evident in nearly every US city. If you are looking for big changes in your utopia you claim is in SA, then have fun. His reply: Dear Drew, I am glad that you enjoy Houston. Best regards, Lou Nice job Lou..... Nice job.
He basically says that Houston is trashy and dirty. That seems fairly true. You say Houston has a nightlife, sports, and good food. Most major cities have sports and a nightlife as well. Most major cities also have decent food, of course not as diverse as Houston's, but most do have decent food outlets. The positives of Houston don't seem to outweigh the negatives...at least they don't for me...
This guy has obviously not lived in a city other than houston. Maybe he needs to take a couple months in a city w/out feeders and experince the massive backups from the crosslights that lead all the way out into the interstate.
OMG!!! You are the best rockHead!!! LMAO!!! damn that is so funny...i just finished reading that starwars thread.....LOL....
