The rockets are a one man show and that is not because the selfish play by Francis, but the lack of help from other players.

    Trade

Housotn Recieves: Houston trades: SG Cuttino Mobley (20.8 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.8 apg in 43.0 minutes)
SG Terence Morris (20.8 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.8 apg in 43.0 minutes)
Houston receives: SF Darius Miles (12.2 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 3.1 apg in 37.8 minutes)
PF Jumaine Jones (9.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 28.7 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +1.2 ppg, +8.2 rpg, and +1.9 apg.

Cleveland trades: SF Darius Miles (12.2 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 3.1 apg in 37.8 minutes)
PF Jumaine Jones (9.8 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 1.6 apg in 28.7 minutes)
Cleveland receives: SG Cuttino Mobley (20.8 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.8 apg in 6 games)
SG Terence Morris (20.8 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.8 apg in 6 games)
Change in team outlook: -1.2 ppg, -8.2 rpg, and -1.9 apg.

    TRADE ACCEPTED

Cuttino is a good player but with Steve throwing up 30 points a night Cuttino isn't going to be needed to score as much, which is his best quality. If we bring in Daruis Miles he Is Bigger than Cuttino which well help prevent some of the taller sg to take control over the smaller Mobley. Ex: Tmac, Kobe, Vince Carter. Also Miles will help clean up the boards and bring energy along with Jones of the bench. I put in terance Morris because I needed to balance the trade and he is longer a part of the team it seems like, just sitting on the bench.

    1) Why would we trade our starting, and argueably only, real SG for two more 3s? Arent we pretty much taken care of at the 3 already (James, Miles, Rice, Thomas, and Nachbar all trying to find playing time)?

    2) Why would we trade Cuttino for someone that cant hit a three or a free throw to save his life and who has an even worse A/TO ration than Mobley?

    3) Why would Cleveland want Cuttino while they are in the hunt for LeBron James (a SG)?

    1. Morris is not a SG
    2. 20.8 points a game!!! Why do we need more help then?

By the way, Langhi even avg. 15 a game in the preseason.

Ask yourself this : why on earth would Cleveland trade Miles? Then take another long slow rip off the bong. (hic)

    1) As pointed out already...TMo is not a SG
    2) Mobes is finally looking like he may buy into *team-ball*..why trade him now?
    3) Hawk can handle those "taller SGs" like Vince, Kobe et al..

we dont need trades, we need team ball playing..and time..

patience grasshopper, we arent as deficient as you seem to think..did you watch the Port game?

please please clutch initiate a "no new topic til 50 posts" rule - if a newbie has something good or some NEW information to say, they can EMAIL it to an admin person (if not too much extra work...) to post or be given posting rights...

and yes... i believe in the authoriterian state (of the bbs) :D

Quite a burst onto the scene. I agree that there is no way Cleveland would trade Miles. They just acquired him for Andre Miller. Cat is a great player, and an even better value, but the cavs are going to use Miller as a building block. He is only 21.

PEOPLE PLEASE STOP POSTING TRADES INVOLVING CUTTINO OR YAO! THEY ARE NOT GETTING TRADED, GET OVER IT. KEEP THE COLLIER/MORRIS/TAYLOR/THOMAS/RICE TRADE IDEAS COMING THOUGH.

If someone can figure out a way to get rid of Rice or Taylor's contracts please let us know. But don't touch the nucleus.

I think you mean Miles, but I agree with you. The Cavs didn't trade away their best player for nothing. Plus, they are just waiting for the Lebron sweepstakes.

Actually, if you take Cuttino's scoring away then we only have one other player who scores in double-digits - that is Eddie with a squeek over 11. Taking Mobley's 20.8ppg away leaves us with mid-70's in the points per game category - don't get a lot of wins that way...

Miles is not really a shooting guard, he's a small (6'9 is small?) forward... he can't shoot past 4 feet, making him a little ineffective as a guard....

Terence Morris is 'just sitting on the bench' because he's been injured - tough to play when you're hurt....

Here's an idea, don't just check the trades on real-GM before posting them....

    will never happen

1st post by the way..

look.. miles is a SF, so is jumaine jones

if cleveland trades those 2, to get mobley and morris?
they already have a good SG in ricky davis, they need a PG.

if anyone, the rockets should look to shop Mo' (chicken, steak, pizza) Taylor and Glen Rice (tho i doubt anyone wants his bad knees taking up cap space)

So we're going to trade two guards for two forwards when we are already overstocked at BOTH forward positions? That would be really strange...

I would trade Mobley for Brent Barry. Yeah, i know the stats don't match up but Barry more about intangibles and plays good D and gets steals and knows when to pass the ball at the right time and is very team oriented. We already have a guard who can score, why not have one that would do the other stuff.
