I went to church yesterday and a teenager sung a song called "I can only Imagine" and it's so uplifting. I'm sure most of you have already heard this song before but I just wanted to try to let the people that didn't know about it, hear it. I've seen alot of threads on here throughout this year about people being depressed. I hope this song helps. By the way, download the version sung by Mercy Me.
you guys aren't into the gospel thing? This song isn't out of one of those hyms or anything. But who knows, this isn't Buger King but still, you can have it your way.
Isn't it a sin or something to download a song without paying for it. I don't want to get in trouble with God or something. Hey, wait a minute, I hope your not the Devil trying to tempt me into downloading songs so I'll get in trouble with God. It's not going to work, I'm not downloading that song. I can tell the Devil is at work here. Go away Devil, go away and don't come back.
Surrounded by Your glory What will my heart feel Will I dance for You Jesus Or in awe of You be still Will I stand in Your presence Or to my knees will I fall Will I sing hallelujah Will I be able to speak at all I can only imagine I can only imagine Kind of song that makes you have chills (if you're religious, of course).
Umm, no. I'm kind of, how do we say, Jewish. Not that I think Gospel is bad or anything, I just don't like it. It's like Country music; I'd rather have my ears Van Goghed than listen to it.
OH HANNUKAH! HANNUKAH! LAALALALALALa Oh dreydle dreydle dreylde.....I made it out of clay! Man...I love those songs. Anyways.....thanks Htownrocks3. I will dl it.
May I recommend to anyone who enjoys spirituals, classic hymns, or acoustic music in general: The Bad Livers' "Dust on the Bible" The Bad Livers are a pseudo blue grass band from Austin. One of the band members recalled all these songs his grandmother used to sing in church, and here ya go: 11 phenomenal, acoustic tracks, including Precious Memories, Jesus is on the Mainline, Will the Circle be Unbroken, and How Dark My Shadow's Grown. I listen to this all the time, and I'm not particularly religious. Just gorgeous music.
I would say it is a sin to do wrong, I agree with you. But I gurantee that anyone who makes gospel music and sings about the Lord, wants you to share their music with other people, even if it means to yeah, download it.
There was a country song called "Dust on the Bottle", I always tohught he was saying "Bible" , after he says "dust on the bottle",he said.. "its just one of those things, that gets sweeter in time" is this the same song?
Dunno, but I think the Bad Livers are doing another one of their little word plays, replacing "bottle." One of their albums is called "Delusions of Banjer," and they're always goofing around like that. But the album of hymns is no-nonsense. At any rate, the album doesn't have a song titled "Dust on the Bottle" or "Dust on the Bible," as far as I can tell.
I went to church camp like 3 or 4 years ago...There was a semi-famous gospel singer there(can't remember the name) that sung this song. I don't know if it's his song or if he was just singing it, because I have heard it a lot. He sung it like everyday though. Great song. They have even played it over our school announcements, too, which I thought was kinda pushing it. It's a great song though.
