Successful Scenario Due to Houston, Golden State, and Philadelphia being over the cap, the 25% trade rule is invoked. Houston, Golden State, and Philadelphia had to be no more than 125% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. Ming/Mutombo Murphy/Hayes Battier/Novak McGrady/Head/Synder Alston/Vspan That team has it all heart hustle size and superstars with the right roll players!!!
Juwan Howard outplayed Murphy not so long ago and pretty much since then, too. Murphy is really struggling this season. If we are gonna get a white guy from GS, I'd rather have Dunleavy if it can be done.
Murphy is a good player, but I (may be the only one) have faith in Bonzi Wells I think he will be perfect fit if he ever plays. We need him as a third option against the good teams in the league, or when we have those cold spells for TMac and Yao, I know he can score. So even if this would be accepted... pass.
Can we have Richardson instead of Murphy? I don't really much care for Murphy, and JRich is a good rebounder and shooter from the three.
Any trade involving bonzi would be a bad one, cause bonzi would most likely be the better player in the trade. Just say no to trading bonzi.
It seems to me that this is a rare trade where everybody gets something. I'm not sure that I'd take it - has Murphy peaked as a player? How is his post passing? I'm guessing that he's never had to do it as a pro. I know his defense needs a lot of work. All the same, I think that this is a long-term talent upgrade for the Rockets, so I'd do it, especially if Bonzi is definitely persona non grata with JVG. It all hinges on that I guess.
What happened to the rule that you can't have a new thread that's nothing but realGM 'trade accepted' dribble?
dumb trade. why would GS do this r****ded trade? why don't we just do lebron for jhoward. heck, even their salary match! at least this year
Hey why don't we make a thread for our TE targets? I really like Kyle Korver (as everyone knows) and reggie evens. there are other targets too such as steven hunter, marvin ely, carlos arroyo, fred jones, damon jones, sarunas jasikevicus, chris mihm, michael pietrus, marcus banks, james jones, dale davis... and others. and what about justin williams of the D-league? He'd make another good big body. He's advertised at 6-10, but he's probably closer to 6-9. averaging 12ppg and 14 rpg and has a good blocked shot average in 5 games so far.
Warriors fans would be more than happy to get rid of Murphy and his bloated contract. He plays no defense, not Van Gundy kinda guy.
