I remember this usmmer there was a great deal of talk of a trade between minnesota and Houston Minnesota recieves #1 pick GLen Rice Mobley Taylor or Cato Cap fillers Cash Houstron recieves Kevin Garnett THe deal would've went down, but at the end Rudy and CD didn't want to trade the pick when they got conformation on Yao Would you guys like this trade to go down. My first impression was YES but now I don't think I would. Yao has won me over
Hell no. Kevin Garnett for all the others would have been a good trade, but definitely not all that AND the #1 pick. LOL
Moochie, Hawkins, and an FA. Hell, do we care who the backcourt is if we have Ming at C and Garnett as our F? How about we throw in Griffin and they throw in Troy Hudson?
We should consider things in a long term. Guards are easy to be drafted or traded btw, but the KG+Joe Smith deal is really attractive.
Minni has already had Francis, but his name then was Marburry. IMO Minni will not have interest in Francis. And QUIT TRYING TO TRADE FRANCIS!!! It ain'tgonnahappen.
I remember there was talk on the BBS about trading for Garnett. And, I remember the ESPNs were saying Minnesota's only way out of their rut was to trade Garnett. But, I don't remember any verifiable news or even respectable rumors that Minnesota actually was talking seriously about trading with Houston. Much less that they actually made an offer and Houston turned it down.
This is crazy talk. No team would trade their franchise player for the whole roster of another team minus that team's franchise player. i.e. Minn will not trade KG for entire Rockets' team minus Yao. SA. will not trade Duncan. LAL will not trade Kobe ...
the bucks traded kareem the sixers traded wilt which other teams traded their franchise player does anyone know?
I love KG and he is going to be the MVP...Not that Faker..., but... That is way to much for one guy... I'm glad we didn't do it b/c Yao will be the best player in the NBA in a couple of years...
In a multiple player deal where one team sends one guy out and receives several back, it is the team getting the one guy who always wins the trade.
