A lot of people are saying that the guards are hindering Yao's progress. I personally don't believe that to be the case, instead I think they are taking the pressure off of him and he isn't ready just yet (mostly fatigue), but I'm not evaluating basketball talent for a living so I don't really know if I'm right or wrong. As I said, I've been a Rox fan for a long time, so it's hard to see Yao above the team. However, if Yao's on another team, then I would happily become a Yao only fan since I am Chinese. So here's trade proposal, for pure fantasy purposes. Houston trades: PG Moochie Norris (3.4 ppg, 1.6 rpg, 2.8 apg in 16.7 minutes) C Yao Ming (16.1 ppg, 9.3 rpg, 1.9 apg in 34.0 minutes) PF Maurice Taylor (9.8 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 1.0 apg in 23.5 minutes) Houston receives: SF Nikoloz Tskitishvili (2.9 ppg, 1.7 rpg, 0.6 apg in 8.0 minutes) PG Earl Boykins (15.6 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 3.4 apg in 27.2 minutes) C Nene Hilario (15.6 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 3.4 apg in 27.2 minutes) SF Rodney White (4.8 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 0.7 apg in 11.7 minutes) SG Jon Barry (7.3 ppg, 2.2 rpg, 1.8 apg in 23.4 minutes) SF Carmelo Anthony (17.9 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 36.6 minutes) Change in team outlook: +19.2 ppg, -0.9 rpg, and +3.8 apg. Why Houston would do it... We get to dump Mooch and Mo's contract and look at all the Young talent we'd get back, especailly carmelo. Why Dever would do it..... They are getting YAO. Enough said. And with Yao and Andre Milelr, they have a legitimate 2 star combo for the future. While it's still more of a business move for them, as Yao would put denver on the map. Yao only fans (which would include me if it actually some how goes down) would love it because Yao gets his own team with one of their favorite pg, Andre Miller. Rox fans would like it to not have to deal with Yao only fans (which includes myself). While I still don't see the trade happening, I don't believe it's gonna be that bad of a trade for either team.
Well I did say that's it's for purely fantasy reasons ( i.e. for fun). But if that trade does go down, it's not crazy. Look at what we get back and what we get to dump, do you honestly think it's a bad trade for us?
I'll pass on this trade like a mug. Why don't you just move to Denver. It would be easier on everyone.
Well, even though they're potential, Carmelo and Nene both are turning into solid starters right now. Boykin is a huge upgrade over moochie and with MoT gone, we have cap and breathing room. Jon barry is another solid player to deepen our bench.
i thought this kind of thing was frowned upon. even if yao isn't as great as everyone thought he would be, i would still pay him cato money just to stand in the paint, draw double teams, and be tall. ooo! oooo! i have an idea, lets just keep the team we have and see if they can play! isn't that crazy?
Hey Dip"Wizkid"Sh*t, Why don't you take your stupid trade ideas somewhere else. This is a ROCKETS forum, not a Yao Ming Forum. We've been Cheering for the Rockets for YEARS before Yao got here and will be cheering for them after he's gone. Yao Ming is probably my Favorite NBA player now, but if the Team Trades him, then I deal and I always want the Rockets to win no matter who they play. So go take your crap over to a Chinese BBS or the Nuggets Forum because you are wasting space here. And if its just *fantasy* then do it somewhere that isn't having bandwith limitation problems.
if you're a truly Yao's fan, you wouldn't trade him to Denver Nuggets, a small market team that will suck forever no matter who plays for them. try NY or LA.
