The guy is making millions, but still steals from his own teammates. What a pathetic excuse for a human being. I hope he is banned from the league. I love his agent's response!! What a joke. http://cbs.sports.com/u/ce/multi/0,1329,4758122_59,00.html GRETNA, La. -- Two arrest warrants were issued Friday for suspended New Orleans Saints wide receiver Albert Connell for allegedly stealing more than $4,000 from teammate Deuce McAllister The first warrant alleges $863 was taken from McAllister's locker Dec. 5, and the second alleges $3,500 was taken from the running back's car Dec. 9, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said. Connell, who signed a $14 million contract last spring, was suspended Dec. 19 for the rest of the season, although the team refused to say why. If convicted, Connell faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $3,000 fine. The Saints began an internal investigation after McAllister found money missing and reported it to the team. Connell's agent, Peter Schaffer, has refused to describe what caused the suspension except to say that it was "the typical kind of thing a veteran would do to a rookie."
Yeah, I was just about to post something about that. I don't understand it. You're making 14 million smackers and you steal about 5 grand from a teammate? There has got to be more to the story. Maybe its a Charles Oakley/Ty Hill type thing?
There's something Connell and/or the Saints are not releasing to the public. A rookie prank doesn't get one kicked off the team and turned into the cops.
Oh, I thought this was about the ofensive coordinator steealing the hopes of all Saints fans by trying to run a pass-oriented offense with a sporadic QB and only one good WR, while you've got a running back who punishes defenses and averages over 8 yards a pop on carries 21-25 in any given game, yet has only gotten the ball 25 times Total in the past two games, both Saints losses.
Pued, I don't think you can blame the OC for the Bucs loss. Tampa really just seemed to want it more from the outset. When you have every guy on the team steamrolling tacklers, the offense becomes a moot point.
