tonight was my first time watching the rockets in person. obviously i was disappointed at the final score, but we also played a tremendously sloppy game throughout. i could see the sense of urgency from pregrame warmups to the end of the game, but unfortunately the rockets just couldn't get it done. mike james was working hard on his shot during pregames, but he made less than half of the shots he attempted, uncontested if i may add. shane was telling something to james after he just turned the ball over and you could tell he was really upset. luther head threw his towel on the ground after the 3rd quarter came to a close. i expected a rockets win or a rockets blowout seeing as last year the rockets blew the sixers by 50 at the wachovia center. this year we have more talented players, and the sixers team is relatively similar. why couldn't we repeat last year's win? it seems like this team is pressing. i have no doubt in my mind that every player on this houston rocket roster wants to win very badly. however sometimes when you want to win so badly, you end up doing more than you should. and in the rockets case, role players started to play out of their role, players tried to win the game individually, and as a whole we deviated from the gameplan that got us to that 6-1 record. we need a floor general, someone who can control tempo, and the only person we have on this roster capable of doing this is rafer alston. so sad, but true.
Sorry to hear that. Last year's game against the Rockets was the first 76ers home game I had ever been to. My son still says that was the best game ever after the Rockets blew the 76ers out by 50 points. The 76ers fans were even hoping that the Rockets would get to the +50 mark and cheer when our last basket went in!
