Yeah we have a 19 game win streak, but as many of you know we also have a 10 game streak with double digit victories. With last nights win we tied the all-time record set by the Nets in 2004. When the experts were saying the streak isn't impressive (they aren't saying that anymore) this was what I always got made about. They can make the argument that we haven't beaten a top top team in the streak (even that's false we just haven't beaten the Spurs, Lakers, Boston, or Pistons) but to say its unimpressive was stupid because of our double-digit win streak. Now we are tied for the longest of all-time and have a pretty good shot of owning it outright after Atlanta. Just wanted to make sure everyone knew the significance of the win last night.
Rockets are rolling, I just knew that with this kind of talent and players you just need chemistry, that's what happened. I think that people are still not aware of this achievement.
Yeah, I'm with ya OP. I fully expect them to get at least 21 wins. The only thing that makes me nervous... the team that ended the Rockets last longest winning streak (93-94 to start the season) was the Atlanta Hawks. But hey, they ended up winning the title after that anyway, soooo....
someone says that lakers will be the terminator of rox's winning streak,is that true ? no way, crush lakers, rokets ,goooooooooooo!
Well it was very nice of tha NO Hornet player to miss both free throws the other night in the final seconds in a 10 point Rocket win, or that streak would be over. Let's just keep on winning!!!!
We have a LOT of talent, and it all fits beautifully together, too. It's just not concentrated into two or three players, so casual fans don't notice it so easily. Adelman has been great, but he is absolutely not the only reason for our play, as you seem to be implying. If he could lead a team with no talent to a run like this, he'd have a few rings by now. No one can do that.
well the role players have been stepping up their games (rafer and deke to lead the bunch), but i agree with you too. adelman's offense keeps working even without yao, putting guys in a position where they can score no matter their skill set. how about: adelman-COY scola-ROY tmac-MVP
Yes, TMac is physically talented, while many of his teammates also have very high basketball IQs: Scola, Battier, Deke, Landry, Hayes ... I totally agree with you: Adelman is the one who makes this team great.
I used to be Mike Bibby's fan. I hope he can win the stats and we win the game. And stop this kind of streak, it's meanless. I just want to win the game.
we've got the Spurs covered in our 23 out of 24 streak, separated only by one loss to Utah without Yao.
