I love Landry in his role but he couldn't beat out Scola. I starter for a backup.. Draft Larry Sanders from VCU, good job Morey...

I guess Jamal Crawford, Jason Terry and Manu Ginobili are worth trading for "starters" as well

You DO realize there's a thing called the "Sixth Man of the Year" award?

But no "The person who starts in the position of the 6th man of the year" award?

Sometimes, the 6th man is the most important part of the team.

lol at this logic, we brought landry off the bench because he was a much needed spark for our starters, one whom probably plays off the bench better than scola does. landry was our go to player in the fourth quarter, and at worst our second best offensive player, if not THE best.

in general, since tmac wasn't playing, landry for kevin martin is fair, but since we felt we could get additional value for tmac..it's not moreso the player, but the overall value we're receiving. If we get Hill, that'd be great, lol.

You wouldnt lose production with either Landry or Scola starting..

Thing about it is that Landry brought the energy which was needed off the bench and one key reason our bench was so good.

There should be a 13th man award. Best player wearing a suit on the end of the bench. We'd have co-champs.

I don't disagree with you on the importance of the sixth man, but I'm curious as to what successful team has a sixth man who's the most important part of the team. Even Ginobili is second or third fiddle, and he's a sixth man extraordinaire.

Carl Landry is a starting-quality power forward.

I think it's our depth situation that caused this trade, not the comparative quality of the two players. It's better to have a starting quality wing and a starting quality power forward than two starting quality power forwards.

I remember when Ryan Bowen started for the Rockets. Man, we should have traded him then
